Me:

I'm not going to spend that much time on this thing because I think we'd all rather I was either working on my fanfics or reading yours, right? ;)

I am obsessed with Lord of the Rings, Lost, and Slumdog Millionaire (the movie and the book that inspired it, which is actually called Q&A). I love to write and read and listen to music, I'm a freshman in college, and reviews make me warm and fuzzy inside. And that's basically all you need to know about me.

My fics:

Trafalgar: Status: Complete Okay, this thing hardly counts as a fanfic but all the facts were based off the Bloody Jack books by L.A. Meyer (very awesome. go read them.). I wrote it for a writing conference when I was in 8th grade which is why it is so incredibly short. Afterwards they put all the stories into a book and mine was the longest one in there. I actually went over the limit but they accepted it anyway which was cool. If you haven't read the Bloody Jack books you should still be able to understand and enjoy the story, because after all that's the kind of person I wrote it for.

The Deceptions of Love: Status: Complete I started writing this thing when I was in 6th grade and finished it the summer after 8th grade so it varies a lot in quality of writing from beginning to end. Though it deals more with the Pirates of the Caribbean world than the Lord of the Rings one, I put it under Lord of the Rings because there are some concepts in it that only someone who has read the Lord of the Rings books will really understand. But you could probably still get a lot out of it if you had only seen the movies. To be honest I consider taking it down every so often because I find it embarrassing.

The Kidnapping: Status: On permanent hiatus This was the first fanfic I ever started writing, sometime during 6th grade, and I have barely worked on it at all since the summer after 7th grade even though I know where it is going. So for now I am just saying it is on hiatus, though I am fairly sure I will never finish it. I got the idea from a dream I had and I love the idea of it but I'm just kind of bored of writing it, besides the fact that my writing style has changed drastically since I began it.

Maximum Ride: Warp: Status: On semi-permanent hiatus Here's the deal with this one: I started writing it when I was semi-obsessed with Maximum Ride. It turned out later that it wasn't a full-blown obsession, and it passed quickly to be utterly replaced by my Twilight obsession. I do want to finish this fic, but if/when I do it will probably be somewhat OOC. Why? Because to remember what the characters are like IC, I would have to read the books again. And since I absolutely despised the third book and have neither the inclination nor the time to read the first two, I'm not going to. Update 6/19/08: I know months ago I posted an author's note saying I had begun writing the next chapter...and I really had, but I just haven't gotten any farther than that. I would love to finish this fic - I already have a chapter for later on written because it was based on a dream I had, I just need to fill in the gap - but I don't have any motivation to do so. I apologize to anyone who was looking forward to the next chapter. I'm not going to say I will never finish it, but I'm not promising I will finish it either.

Remembrance: Status: Complete Ok, this story has been on a huge rollercoaster. It started off as a oneshot, then I planned to extend to it a threeshot, but I'm now convinced that it should remain a oneshot. Apologies to those of you who were hoping for more, but I'd rather leave it as is than add things that aren't as good to the original. Also, I wrote this near the beginning of my Twilight obsession and have since identified several errors in it which make it even less worth expanding on. Oneshot/songfic using the Switchfoot song Yesterdays.

Driver's Education, Cullen Style: After I finished writing Remembrance and decided it would remain a oneshot, I told myself I was never going to write Twilight fanfiction again. I love Remembrance for the writing, but these days reading some of the details I got wrong makes me wince. Well, I made that promise before I was stuck in a driver's ed class for 3 weeks, 5 days a week, 2 hours a day. At the beginning of every class we had to write down definitions for some vocab and I always finished early, so for lack of anything better to do I began to write this story in the back of my notebook. Unfortunately I had trouble following my train of thought from night to night, so I would think of a great idea one night, not have time to write it, and forget it by the next night. Therefore I'm not all that happy with how it turned out, but I decided to put it up anyway. Note: Was semi-inspired by MarcyJ's insanely hilarious Cullenary Education: Forks Sex Ed since I read that story last year while in the middle of a sex ed unit in health class. READ HER STORY!

Untitled Hunger Games fic: Having just finished The Hunger Games for the second time, I find myself utterly fascinated with Peeta's side of the story. Possibly because I can relate to him far more than I relate to Katniss. Anyway, I initially toyed with the idea of rewriting the story from Peeta's perspective after I read the book the first time, but I was busy and I figured it was probably overdone anyway. Imagine my surprise when I decided to look into the matter this time and found only a small handful had been written - far fewer, in fact, than the number of stories from either Gale's or Prim's perspectives. So I still don't know if I'm going to do this - if I even have time to - but keep an eye out for Peeta's story as I see it.
