Vader just killed his master and learned a galaxy-changing truth: Palpatine's son, the Imperial prince, is actually Vader's son, raised right under his nose. Meanwhile, Luke just woke up from severe injuries to a galaxy where his father is dead, he is the Emperor, and the figure from all his childhood nightmares is acting suspiciously nice. They have to work it out from there.

Peter Parker was taken six months ago by Hydra to become the perfect spy by shrinking him down with Hank Pym's serum and injecting him with spider DNA. But when the Avengers show up, Peter knows he's saved, but now Hydra is after him, meaning he can't go home! Will he ever be normal? Or will he have to stay with the Avengers for the rest of his life?

Peter's struggling to cope after the loss of Mr. Stark. Everyone keeps telling him it'll get better and that he needs to move on, but Peter doesn't want to. The trip to Washington DC was supposed to be an educational stress relief and an attempt to "connect with state officials and American history while learning about the democratic process." It's all fun and games until a new inspector arrives. Now, instead of scolding him for abusing help lines, he's being told how brave he is to reach out. And now the inspector is telling him his name isn't even Sherlock Moriarty?

After Sherlock's death in 2011, John decides he can't bear to live in Baker Street anymore, and he leaves a letter to the new tenant. It doesn't make it to the new tenant. It makes it to an old one: Sherlock Holmes. In 2009.

Dumbledore sent Snape to check in on Harry Potter a few years before he was due at Hogwarts. What he sees, causes Snape to decide that the Dursley's were NOT fit to be guardians. He rescues Harry, an abused boy that doesn't even know his own name. Abused Harry/Papa Snape to the rescue story. Mentions of child abuse. Just a fluff story of Snape taking care of Harry. No real plot.

After Homecoming, Tony spent the time to actually get to know Peter and really started to care about him. So much so that he always knew where the kid was, he spent almost every weekend with him, and he'd added numerous protocols to the suit to keep him safe. He thought he'd planned for every contingency. He'd just never planned for this.

Here, of course, is where the idea blooms thick and inky in his mind, and has nothing to do but claw at the inside of his cranium.

The punctuation and post-script should have been enough to warn me not to overreact, but I was focused more on the third word. When Palpatine moves Empire Day to Naboo, Darth Vader is forced to confront a past he thought better buried. Admiral Piett becomes the reluctant confidante of the Emperor, caught in the middle of a deadly Sith cat-and-mouse mind game. Meanwhile, Luke returns to his mother's home world to pay his respects, unaware of the grave danger he is in. [Sequel to 'In Loco Pirates']

Mary is dead, drowned in the Cherwell, leaving behind a grieving John and baby daughter. And then there's Sherlock, who has no idea how to help. On the few times that John actually notices Sherlock's humanity, it gives him a sense of being refreshed. Sherlock's only human. It's nice to see. 'I know you for real,' John told Sherlock once. In this story, set between the first and second seasons, John comes by some of that hard-won knowledge. With a monster storm taking aim at England and a murderer on the loose, John and Sherlock pursue the killer into the sewers of London. What they find there is more terrifying than any human threat and could cost them their lives.

Sherlock returns, but his friendship with John is damaged. Nevertheless, they embark on their final hunt to finish off Moriarty's net, but it ends in a catastrophe: Sherlock is shot and lapses into a coma. As John keeps vigil, he reads Sherlock's diary written during the hiatus. Slowly, he begins to understand and finds himself wishing for another miracle. Completed.

When John receives a phone call in the middle of the night, he knows that something has happened to Sherlock, something qualifying as 'not good'. He is, however, not prepared for what has led to his friend's injury and hospitalisation. And he certainly isn't prepared to face the question if Sherlock will ever recover properly from what has happened.
