I told myself I wouldn't write one of these stupid profiles, because really, who cares? Here I go anyway.
Hi, I'm Ronnie_K and I'm an adult who writes short, romantic, fluffy, sappy stories about comic book/anime characters. If I ever attend a Fan Fiction Anonymous meeting, that's what I'll say.
I highly recommend Beta Readers. Someone to look over your stuff with a fresh set of eyes. I'm using one now and she has helped me immensely. I'm hyper-critical of my own writing and generally do my own editing, but she's found stuff that I've missed and helped put the story in a more eye-pleasing format. Find a Beta Reader that specializes in the kind of fics you write and that you can work with. It will improve your stories a lot.
I write stories about whatever strikes my fancy, which is why I write a story or two about an anime then go on to another anime.
As of this writing, I mostly do happy endings. If I want sad endings, I'll watch the news.
I don't remove negative comments if they are constructive. Everyone has their own opinions and negative ones are valid too. Stuff like "I hate this pairing" gets nuked, though.
Comments like about not having read the light novel kinda make me grind my teeth. Yes, I did read the light novel (at least most times, I did. lol). If I changed something it was either minor or I decided to change it on purpose. My story, my rules. What I usually won't change are characters' personalities.
What I've written about so far:
Superman/Wonder Woman - Favorite pair, but I think I've written all I'm going to about them.
Kaze no Stigma - From start to finish, my favorite anime. Each episode is really good.
Legend of the Legendary Heroes (What kind of title is that?) - Lots of plots and subplots, but it had some great moments and characters.
The Irregular at Magic Highschool - Between the manga, the light novel and the anime, this one is another favorite.
Okami-san and Her Seven Companions - It has it's moments. The narration is one of the best parts. It needed to be continued, but never was. I wrote one story to wrap it up since the anime never really wrapped up.
Animes I liked but haven't written fanfics for:
Lovely Complex - Fun story. Ran a little long for me, though. By the middle of season 2 I was ready for an ending.
Kimi Ni Todoki - THE benchmark for high school romance stories, in my opinion, though it ran a bit long too.
Dog Days - Very cute and sweet.
Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero - Pretty cool if you're into heroes with no weaknesses whatsoever. I liked it. If you want to watch the hero kick butt over and over, this one's for you. Warning: Lots of fanservice.
Ghost Hunt - I'm not much into supernatural stuff, but this was very well done.
Dance in the Vampire Bund - Same as above.
Sword Art Online - There's a few "Gamers trapped in a virtual world, blah-blah-blah" stories out there, but this one is pretty good.
They Are My Noble Masters - I think this is one of those under-the-radar animes that was pretty darn good. There isn't even a forum for this one and that's a real shame.
Your Lie in April - This one is new and has only two episodes so far. It's in a high school/classical music setting. Sounds boring, but it's got an intensity to it that keeps me watching. Update: I stopped watching. It's just become one bummer after another on that show. If you want to cry and get depressed, this one's for you.
Worst ending to an anime: School Days. I won't ruin it for you, but it was horrible. Never seen anything this bad. Ever. What were the writers thinking? I think the writers secretly hate their readers.
For those of you that read my stories and see that there are lots of reviews already posted: Please don't think that your review, even it's review #125, will not be read and appreciated. I even try to respond to most of them. Don't think that your review doesn't matter just because it's not one of the first few reviews posted. It matters and is appreciated just as much as the first reviews.
