Author has written 35 stories for Star Wars. Like many, I believe that Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw in a theatre, at least the first one I can remember. I was 10. It captivated me, and set me on a lifelong path of borderline obsession with the GFFA, and an overall preoccupation with what may be ‘out there’. When ESB arrived…I completely lost count of the number of times I saw it. Han Solo became the face of my silly girl fantasies. I devoured all of the tie-in novels rather than shop at the mall with the girly-girls. I could draw the interior blueprints of the Millennium Falcon from memory. I wrote a lot back then, none of it ever saw the light of day and I’m sure if I looked back on any of those early stories I would be mortified. I was a certified (certifiable?) nerd. Years passed and a few things got in the way. College, career, marriage (to someone who was not a fan...how could that be?), kids; all the usual meanderings of day to day life. I had no time left for Luke, Leia, Chewie and Han, nor were they entirely practical. A career woman and mother with a closet Star Wars obsession? Try explaining that over coffee at your kid’s playdate. The two worlds did not mix. And so on to the back burner they went. That little nerd-girl was quite firmly under wraps. I never took the time to think that anyone else could possibly share my passion. But in the late 90s I discovered that there was a whole world of like-minded folks out there...and so I lurked around reading anything and everything I could find. Fast forward…December, 2015, and TFA was released. I was utterly devastated. My mind screamed “NO WAY! That is not what happened!" I felt a grave disservice had been done to my beloved Han and Leia, and started devouring fanfiction—and writing it again! This is my antidote to all of Disney's toxin, and helps to heal the wounds inflicted by the so called 'new canon'. My OTP deserve to remain alive and well and, above all, inseparable. Apologies, but my universe does not include Han and Leia drifting apart, nor having a whiny, homicidal kid :) For the guest reviewers to whom I can't personally respond..thank you! Your support means the world. Mwah!
