Author has written 6 stories for Stargate: SG-1.
I am 45 years old, female, and a resident of Seattle, Washington. That's in the far northwest corner of the United States, for any international readers. I am an insurance professional who makes her living doing technical writing, so the fan fiction is my creative outlet.
I have been a SG-1 fan since about season 6, when I discovered the series on the SciFi channel and made a point of taping and watching every episode from the beginning. (I now have the whole series on DVD). I have always been a HUGE sci-fi fan, and loved the movie, but had eschewed the show, at first because it was on Showtime, which I did not get, and secondly because it had "that guy from McGuyver" in it. I'm sorry, I've tried, but I still cannot stand that show: Bad writing, bad acting, bad clothes, really, really bad hair.
That being said, I think RDA's portrayal of Jack is genious. Who would have thought?
I am a dyed-in-the-wool shipper, and am convinced, until they show me otherwise, that Jack and Sam did get together after season eight. And yet, I don't write ship, at least I haven't so far. I do write humor and I do write friendship fluff, and I guess you might call Good for the Goose, angst.
Oh and I am out of ideas for the moment. So anyone who has something that might lend itself to my writing style (I spend a lot of time inside Jack's head) I'm open. However, be warned that I resist AU. Thanks to everyone for your very kind reviews; I especially am glad to know when I make people laugh. I bust myself up, but that just gets me weird looks from my husband.
