ALL the new re-writes for the new series of stories! BOOM!

When I'm finished, act 1 will be a trilogy pieced together from the original draft.

OH AND GUESS WHAT... that's LIVE now: http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3134271/1/Advent-of-Iniquity-Prequel-Novella --START HERE, if you wanna read it in chronological order. I'll be updating it a lot until it's finished! :3

The old draft, long winded, and full of ranting at times, is found here: http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3024180/1/A_Necessary_Evil

and, of course, the second act, http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3099735/1/Act2-Draft-In-Progress-REBIRTH

And, finally, Act 3 in the making: http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3099926/1/Act3-TheDarkAge-A-NEW-PATH

Please let me know if you like it!

This is a link to an ORIGINAL STORY I am working on. I need your help! I need feedback and reviews to help me craft this story, as I will be shopping it for publication! PLEASE check it out and let me know your thoughts!!

I PROMISE that I am NOT giving up on my stories. I just wanna work on this original piece (to try and get published so I don't have to work a normal job! LOL) and once I need a little break from that, I WILL be back to FINISH ALL of my StarFox stories (starting with the Reflections Series, books 2, 5 and 7 have priority!)

I hope that clears things up!

I AM NOT QUITTING MY FANFICTION WRITING.

It's just a little break while I try writing something that will make me money. :D

Btw, I'm back in Maryland if you didn't already know. xD

February 2012
SO! I'm nearly finished with my move to Jacksonville, Florida. Why? To join a band that's got motivation to take things to the next level! Seriously, I'm excited for this stuff! I'm looking forward to posting music later this month. We've been working HARD to get things TIGHT and sounding AWESOME. I'm still writing, though, I promise! I just need to work on Sly Cupid and StarFox: The Curse, then I'll work on more of the Reflections series.

GUESS WHAT! I now have an official FaceBook page. Look me up on FaceBook as, "Kit Karamak". Become a "FAN" if you like! I hope to hear from you, there!

August 2011
Sly Cooper: DAWN OF PROGENY is now FINISHED! If you would like to read the trilogy, in order, it goes, "Lament of Carmelita," then "Spy Cooper," followed by "Dawn of Progeny."
I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
:D

September 2010
So, how's it going? I'm still here, I've just been on tour with a J-Rock (Visual Kei) band, recording with a punk/rock band and re-reading through my Sly Cooper material so I can finish Spy Cooper and Dawn of Progeny!
I know I've been away for a while - some of you may recall that I took a break in the middle of doing StarFox stories to tend to my best friend who was dying from Cystic Fibrosis. Well, on April 17th, 2010, he passed away in the middle of the afternoon. Reflections of a New Generation was his favorite story. He was only 24.
Summer is over and I'm working on the Sly Cooper stuff until it's completed then I WILL finish *ALL* my StarFox stories, yes even Similar Paths Taken and The Curse... ALL OF THEM. I will also finish my Castlevania story. I REALLY wanna try and get back to some of my original stuff but I wanna tie up these loose ends first. I'll post my original work on FictionPress DOT com, which is FFnet's Sister Site. I use the exact same Pen Name, Kit-Karamak, spelled with the hyphen. SO! I've not gone anywhere, I've just been swamped.
For those of you who wish to read the unabridged version of Reflections of Regret, I post it on ADULTFANFICTIONdotNET, under the EXACT same username - Kit-Karamak, yes, with a hyphen. You just do a search by author and... bam! It brings you to my profile where you can read all the juicy mature stuff... but you have to verify that you're at least eighteen by entering your birthdate. Anyhow...
For those of you who still read my material, THANK YOU! I've NOT gone anywhere. And, unless I spontaneously combust, I'm going to be around forever.
If you want to say hi, either PM me or send me an EMAIL to KITKARAMAKatGMAILdotCOM!
Take care! :D

MARCH 2010
I'll be taking another vacation to FLORIDA. Since I'm coming from Maryland, I sometimes stop by and meet people on my way through (the I-95 corridor) so anyone wants me to stop through and say hey or whatever, just email me at KitKaramak AT gmail DOT com. It should be the end of March, approximately the 19th through the 26th, I think. I'll have better details shortly. I usually stay in Orlando with family then head home the same way - by car.
Take care!

January 10th, 2010
How's it going, guys and gals? I posted an edited version of Chapter 1 for REFLECTIONS OF KRYSTAL. I was tired of reading a story that had so much... gah. Anyway, I'm going to edit EVERY CHAPTER as I get time... YES I plan to add more content. Please review each chapter and let me know if you find anything you don't like about it... I can still touch up the re-updated chapters, after all! lol. Thanks again for reading!

January 1st, 2010
I know I said that I was going to start the new year out by doing all original stuff on FFnet's sister site, FictionPress dot com... but October, November and December got a bit busy for me. I'm NOT going to abandon my current large-project stories (Reflections of Fox & Marcus, Spy Cooper, Dawn of Progeny) until they are FINISHED. Once I've concluded those stories, I'll do an update or two of The Curse, Nothing Passed Tomorrow, Similar Paths Taken and Castlevania: Claws of Fate (not necessarily in that order).
However, I will be doing original work WHILE I'm updating the small stories. OH! I also would like to have Detente finished before I get to the originals.
I'll leave you with this quotation of humor from the FFnet writer, GammaRay256 that amused me to no end...

Slippy: "Make a complete rotation on your Arwing's longitudinal axis while following a helical path and approximately maintaining your original trajectory!"
Fox: "What?! What's he saying?"
Peppy: "He means: 'DO A BARREL ROLL!' (Press Z or R twice!)"

December 19th, 2009

So, I changed my email address for my Fan Fiction Net account. It's now "KitKaramakATgmailDOTcom" obviously, remove the AT and DOT and transpose them accordingly, lol. What can I say? We all know FFnet likes removing links to email addresses and websites. Also, I'm working on the new COOPER CHRISTMAS story chapter. It's got a deeper meaning this year. Nothing like the prior years' chapters. I feel that I wanted to write something with a little substance. I typically have a cute little romantic subplot thing going on in the background but not this year. Don't worry, Sly Cupid will be right around the corner for Valentine's Day. Okay, so, anyhow, I'm re-reading through the ENTIRE Reflections of a New Gen / Marcus stories. Besides a MOUNTAIN of loopholes that no one ever pointed out to me before, I'm re-enjoying it for the first time in ages. Expect updates for it soon.

December 13th, 2009
I HAS A WII!!1!1!1!111!!1!!ONE
I know, you're all like... "Finally, dude. Seriously, it's about time already!" I know, I know. Wal Mart had'em on sale for 199, and gave out 50 dollar gift cards if you purchased it last week, so... rockin'. I hate to say it... but it MIGHT push back Dawn of Progeny and Spy Cooper by about a month, now that I'm in a StarFox mood again, LMAO. I'm still doing A COOPER CHRISTMAS, I always post it in December, and I've not missed one for several years, now. Same with Sly Cupid. ANYHOW, I'll see you guys soon! ;)
I'm off to play.

December 2nd 2009
Okay, so it's time for the holidays again. ;laksdjf Neat. I'll be doing another Cooper Christmas chapter (and, of course, Valentine's Day will bring another Sly Cupid chapter) and at some point I plan to finish the climatic end of Dawn of Progeny and Spy Cooper. So, I just did a lot of work on Detente, I did some work on Reflections of Fox McCloud and now I plan to do some work on Reflections of Marcus McCloud. It seems that it's not a very popular story... conversely, Reflections of a New Generation is insanely popular by contrast to most of my other work. Lament of Carmelita is still a huge draw and nothing else I've written matches Reflections of the FUTURE. For some reason that story gets more hits in a month than all of my other non-Reflections stories combined. I have a feeling I know who to thank for it. Back in 2006, Nintendo's Forums had a section for Fan Fiction favorites posted and unbeknownst to me, several people posted that it was their favorite, combined with a link to the story. Then, at the end of 2006, going into 2007, there was a forum vote for best fan fiction. Apparently Reflections of the FUTURE won "best Star Fox story of 2006." Neat! Then, after Nintendo removed everything to revamp their site, I realized that my story was still posted on Star Fox fan sites, like Dwight House's Krystal fansite. He wasn't the only one doing it, either. So I appreciate that I still have a lot of people re-reading Reflections of the FUTURE. Okay, so back on track... Reflections of Marcus McCloud only has a bit over 5k total views. I also drifted around with that story, not knowing where to go with it. I was waiting for divine inspiration, so to speak.

Well! I was rereading Reflections of a New Generation and I started writing things down on the side. It's time to tie in parts of that story to its sequel. I mean, the Oracle said he was going to fight some unspeakable evil that would resurface later on and be finished off by one of his kids. It's time to figure out what that evil is and have him fight the darn thing, huh? Also, I do believe that the readers have spoken about who they want Marcus dating. I wasn't going to say anything because I didn't want to sway anyone's decision... but Fara Phoenix has become my favorite choice, as well. I had one or two people say they wanted him to be with Vivian (Lucy Hare's daughter). I had three people say they wanted him to get back with the baby's momma, Violet Lombardi. I had nearly two dozen people express interest in him staying with Fara Phoenix. IT SHALL BE DONE! :D
All hail Ben Itoh's fennec creation, Fara Marie Phoenix! So...
As some of you have recently read in Reflections of Fox McCloud's most recently updated chapter, Fara was killed in action, leaving Fox McCloud pretty sad. He feels as though he's the one responsible for her death. Between the advice he received from Peppy's wife early in that story, coupled with this life-altering situation... Fox is going to really doubt the idea of dating... however! It is my understanding that Miyu Lynx in the unreleased SF2 for SNES was to be Fox's love interest. I plan on them getting together for a short time, but she'll actually break up with him, saying, "You're just not over Fara. I'm not trying to compete with someone who casts the tallest shadow from beyond the grave - I'm sorry, Fox. Until you get over her, I suggest you stay single. Trust me, you'd be doing yourself and any other future mate a huge disservice to rush healing your heart." After that Fox will stay single for the next 8 years and on the fence about dating for the following 2 more years. THEN when Krystal is eventually put into danger as a fault of Fox, he'll cast her off the Star Fox team for her own safety... Why?? Because of what happened to Fara all those years ago... and that will take the story into the SF: COMMAND arc. See how I try and tie it together? xD

Okay, I'm going to get started on Reflections of Marcus after a quick re-read of New Gen and what I've got thusfar for Marcus... after a few updates, I'll finish Dawn of Progeny and Spy Cooper. Expect a new Cooper Christmas BY Christmas Eve. Take care and have yourself some HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

July 6th 2009
WTF! I come home from Pittsburgh only to find out that I've LOST MY JOB. I was doing very well, making real money for once... and suddenly... it's all over. Now for the kicker! The reason why! I was on my lunch break one day about two weeks ago... The owner of the company was on location and I was working on chapter 24 or 25, I don't remember which. Anyhow, I slouched in my chair, in the tech room, trying to retrieve my glasses because they'd fallen from the desk. I slumped down and used my foot to draw them back towards the base of my chair when the owner walked by the tech room. I sensed tension in the area but she nodded and acknowledged me with a polite smile and greeted me by name. Oddly, I still got weird vibes. The campus was getting ready for the Maryland Higher Education Committee to come through and set up accreditation and... Anyhow, after the dust settled from that, she had me fired for looking lazy on the job. Did she ASK if it was my lunch break? Did she ask why I was slouching? No. I'm told she's a "queen B." like that so... C'est la vie. It sucks but there's nothing I can do about it. The campus director even wants me to fix his computer this Friday under the table for a few bucks. I guess he still likes me, right? It's a pretty BS reason to get let go. They found other "official" reasons, like not completing ALL tasks in a time-friendly fashion... but there are TWO TECHS servicing THREE CAMPUS locations - DC, Baltimore and Columbia. I mean, c'mon. We're over worked and under-staffed... of COURSE I couldn't do everything at once! But that became the official reason on paper... I found out the owner's decision through channels at corporate, as I've befriended a few people higher up on the chain... and I learned through them that she wanted them to find reasons to can the "tech at Columbia" because she saw him "looking lazy on the job." Meh.
They can kiss my orange-tailed fursona. Double Duces blazing!

July 2nd - 5th 2009
Okay, so I attended another AnthroCon. Pittsburgh, for those of you who have never been there, has a great downtown and cultural district area. There were Three Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Six people in attendance. Counting those who didn't register and slept on people's hotel floors, I'm going to say about FOUR THOUSAND people were there.
For those of you I was able to meet, thank you! For the people in the writing panels I attended, you guys were great - awesome job of giving advice and such!
This was Dawn's first AC and she loved it (Many of you probably saw her badge - it said CON VIRGIN). Thanks again for reading my material - I appreciate it!

February 27th 2009:

Wow. Reflections of the Future has now just hit 30 thousand views. ARE YOU SERIOUS? THIRTY THOUSAND HIT / VIEWS? Yet it only has a couple of reviews. Well, not a couple, but certainly not nearly as much as Lament of Carmelita or Reflections of a New Generation, but you know what that tells me? It tells me that the people who like Reflections of the Future are reading it over and over, every so often. Thank you. I appreciate it.

I'm working a new job as a computer tech for a PC education campus. Some of you might have heard the name, "Johns Hopkins Medical University." Funny how that sort of irony happens... I've never gone to college, but now I work for one. xD

Now, don't get me wrong... I have certifications and I have experience, so I have the job. But yeah, I never WENT to college, so it's funny to me that I should work for one. :D

December 9th 2008:

Okay, Sly Cooper fans, I have good news for you. Stay tuned for a nice holiday surprise.
No, I'm not giving up on Spy Cooper - this NEW edition will tie into it nicely, albeit at a different angle than you might be expecting.
I've been so busy this month I'm running around blind. Catch my next update, soon!

October 22nd 2008:

The whole iBook thing is coming along well. Musicians sometimes tell you that there are certain songs locked away in certain guitars. They pick up a new, fresh guitar and... bam! They come up with a riff that turns into a new song later on. Maybe it's the keyboard on this thing; I don't know.

Anyhow, I've rented Flawless, The Heat, The Heist, The Italian Job, Entrapment, The Thomas Crown Affair, Ocean's Eleven (the original with the Rat Pack, including Frank Sinatra) and now... I'm going to watch some thief movies. Why? Because I need good inspiration for finishing Spy Cooper! See, I have to re-read it and such... I'm without a PS2 (I gave it to my eldest son's mother) and my PS3, which I bought used, is dead right now. It needs a new disc motor as they don't spin right now. So, I usually play through the game series before returning to write about Sly Cooper but I can't right now :(

I've just updated The Curse with two new chapters and Claws of Fate with two new chapters. I'll probably write one for Reflections of Marcus McCloud then I'll return to Spy Cooper and offer a few updates. After that, I'll try and write the very LAST chapter for The Curse, so it's complete. I've not given up on ANY of my stories. If you're a fan of one that doesn't get much attention, please let me know so I can figure something out. I also need to re-read Similar Paths Taken. I'll probably update the Crossover Bandwagon Story of Doom before Christmas and, of course, add chapter THREE for A Cooper Christmas around the last week of December.

I might get around to posting the entire-completed story of Act2 for The Greatest of Three Evils: Parallel Universe. I wrote it many years ago and wound up using the concept behind it to write both Similar Paths Taken and Reflections of a New Generation. But the original concept was Parallel Universe and that story has been complete since 2003. All of two people expressed interest in reading the sequel to A Family Affair, so I might as well post it at some point, lol. Just for haha's.

All I have to do is separate the paragraphs into double spacing, break the story down into chapters and post'em. I never wrote the third act, which was supposed to lead into the new SF:Assault game. Years later, I wrote a much better series that was very well received by friends and readers. It was called "REFLECTIONS" and I stuck with that universe instead. xD

I'm still looking for a job! If anyone has I.T. ties around the Baltimore-Washington (D.C.) area, let me know!

Also, "A Break In Chaos" (found on MySpace) finally has two shows. My side project rock band might actually play some live music! xD ...For those who don't read my author's notes in the chapter updates of my stories... I'm a drummer. Okay that's all for now! By the way, for the Nineteen THOUSAND views to my profile page, I thank you guys! I know, I know... there are plenty of people out there who have way more views to THEIR profile page. Just the same, I appreciate the attention, gang! Just like I appreciate having THIRTY THOUSAND views to my story, Reflections of The Future.

P-Sout!

October 13th 2008:

Okay, so I got a great deal on an iBook. It's got all the power I need at only 1.33ghz and 1gb of ram. With 40GB of hard drive space, it's more than enough to use as a word processor. The keyboard feels great and it was mega-cheap. I took some unused PC parts (motherboard, etc) up to my locally-owned computer store and traded them in towards this notebook. Yes, it's beyond outdated: it's a G4 PPC (as opposed to the MacBook with the Intel core2duo), but I don't care. I don't need it for anything fancy. So! Let's give it a try, huh? Couldn't hurt, right?

I still have a lot to learn about the TIGER OS but... whatever! The shell is like a DS (or, I should say, the DS shell is like this thing, since it's older but anywho) and it's light. Word up and stuff. Speaking of Word, I think I'm going to get word2008:Mac because Neo Office is lacking on feel. I like the Thesaurus but that's about it. :( At least I don't have to worry about this older style notebook when it comes to heat, right?

Talking about not overheating, I can lay this thing on the bed and write for hours without ANY heat problems. It's silent, it works great and the battery is pretty standard to what I'm used to (about an hour and a half). With DVD, bluetooth, built in wireless and a small form factor, I've been really pleased since I got it the other day. As we go back into the season change, I'll be returning to Sly Cooper and look forward to getting plenty of that typed up on this machine! :D

Also, I updated Claws of Fate twice. Expect an update for The Curse very soon now. I've been sick and re-reading that whole story or it would have been updated by now. I might do ONE MORE update for Marcus McCloud before returning to Spy Cooper - I'm not sure yet. Gotta feel it out, y'know? And stuff.

x

June News:

Sup, gang. Okay, so my Acer notebook was overheating. I'd start on a chapter, get a few pages into it, then the thing would simply SHUT OFF at random. Needless to say, I was pretty fried out. I've had no real problems with Windows Vista for simple use - remember when I was thinking about a Mac book? So far, I've not lost any work due to an OS crash. If it happens, I'll switch to Mac... but so far, so good.

It's not Acer's fault - I'm the one who bought a refurbished machine. MY FAULT.

However, luck came across my path... Office Depot had a very small Toshiba travel notebook (13.3 inches) on clearance. The hard drive was shot, so they let me have it for super cheap. I sold the Acer to the local computer store, took the cash and bought this Toshiba. It's so tiny! However, this model was built with copper heat-syncs instead of the typical aluminum ones... Copper, baby! This thing NEVER overheats.

I upgraded a few key elements on it, networked it to my desktop and transfered mah stuff. Done deal!

It's the same processing speed as the Acer, same amount of ram. The screen is smaller, the L2 Cache is twice the size and the hard drive is larger now. This thing only weighs in at 4.45 pounds. Not too shabby! Also, the battery life lasts about twice as long as the old Acer. Don't get me wrong, I really liked the Acer... Plus the new Extensa's have a slightly ergonomic keyboard... that's hawt. I'll also miss the four-way scroll key between the mouse buttons. It's hard to live without that thing - I loved that button. But yeah, stuff. I've always been a Toshiba whore - I always will be.
n_n

The keyboard on this notebook flexes when I type on it, but I think it's designed to do that on purpose. At first, I figured flimsy meant chintzy but now I realize it's designed to flex to better absorb impact. And now I know.
Hell, I'm happy. It's a solid little thing. Plus, it does everything I want it to do. Yeah, I wish it had 802 . 11N so I could sync faster with my desktop, but whatever. Beggars can't be choosers and it was too good of a price to complain about.

Since I became a member here, I've gone through a lot of laptops. I was using a Toshiba P25 S5 series ten pound monster back in the day. Since then, I've gone to a Compaq, a sony vaio, a Toshiba A-10 satellite, a gateway, an old Dell Latitude C800, an Acer Aspire and, now, this Toshiba U305 Satellite. That doesn't count the 4 prior Toshiba Satellites I owned BEFORE the P25... The THIRD one was one of the best. My wife Christy bought it for me back in May of 2000. It lasted five and a half years (and I took it EVERYWHERE so it had a TON of travel milage) before I upgraded to the impressive and powerful P25 S4 series (which was massive by comparison) and later, the P25 S5 series I used when I made my account.
Yes, that means I've owned 12 laptops since 1998. Seven of them were Toshiba notebooks. I guess I'm a little bais...
:D

May News:

I've finished Reflections of a New Generation AND began updating the sequel, Reflections of Marcus McCloud.

Also, I have really big news! I'm talking to my ex-wife again! Woot! Keep your fingers, toes, arms, legs, hair and eyes crossed! Ladies, keep your tubes crossed. At least until you're married. Believe me, it's for the best - I know from personal experience. xD

April News:

CHAPTER 30 OF REFLECTIONS OF A NEW GENERATION IS FINISHED AND POSTED!

!!yAy!!

I need a WII so freakin' bad.

D:

A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have a a oil shortage here in our country. Well there's a very simple answer!
Nobody bothered to check the oil.

We just didn't know we were getting low. The reason for that is purely geographical.
Ya' see, our oil is located in:

Alaska,
California,
Coastal Florida,
Coastal Louisiana,
Kansas,
Oklahoma,
Pennsylvania,
and, of course, Texas.

Meanwhile all of our dipsticks are located in Washington, DC.

Any questions!

February News:

REST ASSURED, READERS, that NONE of my un-finished stories are "Dead". I mean to finish ALL of them. The Curse, Similar Paths Taken, Nothing Passed Tomorrow, the Crossover Bandwagon Story of Doom that Has No Real Title, and yes, even my Reflections stories. This includes all my Sly Cooper stuff, my Castlevania story - Claws of Fate, you name it! I WILL FINISH THEM ALL. :D

And Valentine's Day is coming... you know what THAT means, Sly Cooper fans... another one-sy short story, LOL. I'll probably just make a chapter TWO for Sly Cupid like I did for A Cooper Christmas. That seemed to work out very well!

Yaw'll romantics love that stuff, don'tcha? ;)

Peace, Love and Chocolate, everybody!

I'VE DELETED EVERYTHING BEYOND THIS POINT... I'LL BE DELETING MORE OF THIS PROFILE SOON ENOUGH! To make room for all new crap, of course. lol. As of 1-10-2010, I have nearly thirty thousand views on my profile. Thanks! I think I had about 4 or 5 thousand views as of November 2005, when all the counters were reset... so... I guess that means I'm nearly to 35k views... wow. _ Thanks! I appreciate it! Wee!
