Questions:
Who are you?

Hello, readers. :)

I am Indigo Fireflight. My former pen name was xxindigoflamexx.

My name is Amy. You can call me that, or Indigo Fireflight, or Indigo, or Indy, or another inventive likeable corruption of my pen name, or what have you. :)

I'm a 20 year old female university student from Canada. Eh? (Couldn't resist slipping in one Canadian stereotype, now could I? :) )

Aside from picture books I made when I was like, 6, I first picked up a pen to write a story more substantial than that, at least, by the age of 9. It was a fanfiction.

I've been writing fanfiction and original fiction in my spare time ever since.

What does your pen name mean? Why'd you change it?

Well, I've gone through several indigo flame/fire related pen names. The reason? Well it originally began during my X-Men stage, when my favourite characters were Nightcrawler ("indigo") and Pyro (well, "fire/flame", of course). I kept it because really, it just sounded at least unique enough to set my name apart somewhat. So yes. Plus I happen to like the band Fireflight, so adding "flight" to the end of Indigo Fire worked out quite well for me.

I changed it because firstly, I wanted to signify that I was largely starting anew with my writing. Secondly, I wanted my name to look slightly less like a handle and more like a pen name, because that's my personal style preference.

Why are some fanfictions marked OLD?

Well, as the name suggests, they are fanfictions I have written a long time ago. In particular, fanfictions written a long time ago that by now I deem very un-reflective of my current writing style.

Rather than delete them, I decided to leave them, due to some sense of nostalgic fondness I seem to have of my earlier, not-so-great fanfictions. It also stays to remind me of my growth now as a writer, at least compared to back then. :P

These fanfictions date all the way back to when I originally opened this account, at 13 years old. So please, disregard some of their inherent terribleness.

What fandoms do you write for? What kind of fanfiction do you write?

I'll write for whatever the heck inspires me. Some fandoms I've had interest in and/OR written for are (NOT ALL these fandoms appear in my stories):

Lord of the Rings
The Chronicles of Narnia
The Inkheart Trilogy
The X-Men Trilogy
X-Men Evolution
Naruto
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Legend of Zelda
M*A*S*H the TV series
Pirates of the Caribbean
In A Heartbeat (likely never being written for again)
Radio Free Roscoe (likely never being written for again)

I'll write anything from more of a dramatic piece, to a oneshot, to pairings, to h/c, to, well, a lot of things. I do admittedly have at least PWP fic from my younger days, marked OLD (Somebody Has Issues: The Ponderings of The Epic Lord of the Rings Novels By An Insane Person). I apologize for that.

What are some of your favourite random things that people tend to list in their profiles?

I'm sorry if this list bores you :)

Music: Coldplay, Skillet, Flyleaf, The Fray, Nevertheless, Anberlin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Boys Like Girls, Fireflight, The Classic Crime, FF5, Hawk Nelson, Blindside, Taylor Swift, Demon Hunter, Josh Groban, Paramore, Falling Up, Wavorly, 2NE1, FT Island, Marie-Mai, Allstar Weekend, movie soundtracks, any other stuff I like.

Movies: Moulin Rouge, She's The Man, Eagle Eye, The Narnia Films, The Lord of the Rings, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Karate Kid (old and new), Mrs. Doubtfire, the X-Men trilogy, Home Alone 1 & 2, Inception, Planet of the Apes (old and new), Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean movies, the Toy Story movies (that's right, haha), Edward Scissorhands, classic Disney films like Beauty and the Beast, The Great Mouse Detective, Mulan, The Lion King, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Oliver and Company, Pinocchio, Bambi, Hercules, etc. and also Tangled.

TV Shows: The Office, M*A*S*H (I have a collection of DVDs of seasons of it at home), Silent Library (the original Japanese version), K-On!, Seinfeld, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Roswell, other shows I haven't bothered to list. I'm also developing more of an interest in Naruto, but I haven't seen nearly enough to be able to rightfully call myself a real fan yet. lol.

Video Games: Legend of Zelda series (!!! Loving the Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, myself), Epic Mickey, any Mario games, Sonic Mario games, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Wii, Prince of Persia games... heck I have too many games to list for 5 different game systems, forget it. lol. But I play Wii, PS2, Gamecube, N64, and I still got my Super NES. lol

Authors: Hmm... C.S. Lewis, Margaret Peterson Haddix, Ted Dekker, William Golding (Lord of the Flies), Cornelia Funke, others. lol

Because I am a Disney fan, Favourite Disney Villain: Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective. Though I also like Scar from The Lion King, Mother Gothel from Tangled, Jafar from Aladdin (hey, least he's funny), and Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Favourite Disney Song: "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan. Villain song... "Be Prepared" from The Lion King, "World's Greatest Criminal Mind" from The Great Mouse Detective, and "Mother Knows Best" and "Mother Knows Best Reprise" from Tangled.

Food: That's like asking me to choose between my own children.

This, most importantly,

Drink: COFFEE. I can't stress this enough. As much as I love other things, such as root beer or hot chocolate or Coca Cola, coffee is my LIFE. Anything from regular coffee to espresso drinks, like MOCHAS, I love. Starbucks, Robin's, Tim Hortons,
Caribou Coffee on my trips to the States... all amazing. I drink it everyday. Seriously, I won a joke award at my high school graduation ceremony for my coffee addiction. My friends all joke about it. If you know me, know this: I love my coffee.

That is all. Please, commence reading, if you wish. :P

Lord of the Rings (Le Seigneur des anneaux)

The Chronicles of Narnia (Le Monde de Narnia)

Inkheart (Cœur d’encre)

X-Men (les films)

X-Men Evolution

Naruto

Avatar : The Last Airbender (Avatar, le dernier maître de l’air)

Legend of Zelda

M*A*S*H (l’émission)

Pirates of the Caribbean (Pirates des Caraïbes)

In A Heartbeat (Unité 156) (plus jamais, probablement)

Radio Free Roscoe (plus jamais, probablement)

Quels sont vos préférés?

Les groupes : Coldplay, Skillet, Flyleaf, The Fray, Nevertheless, Anberlin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Boys Like Girls, Fireflight, The Classic Crime, FF5, Hawk Nelson, Blindside, Taylor Swift, Demon Hunter, Josh Groban, Paramore, Falling Up, Wavorly, 2NE1, FT Island, Marie-Mai, Allstar Weekend, les bandes originales, etc.

Les jeux vidéos : The Legend of Zelda (Twilight Princess et Ocarina of Time en particulier), Epic Mickey, les jeux de Mario (comme Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario 64), Sonic and Mario at the Winter Olympic Games, Prince of Persia : Les Sables du temps, etc. J’ai cinq consoles : Wii, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Nintendo 64, et Super NES.

Les écrivains/écrivaines : Hum… C.S.
