Author has written 7 stories for Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Silent Hill, Dragon Age, and Prometheus, 2012.
My Blog:..it's fairly new and will replace my Live Journal. I'll keep it strictly Writing Only, but that includes fanfiction, original fiction, and general writing stuff.
- This is my formal apology to fans for not updating in forever.
My biggest strength seems to be starting a novel - and my biggest weakness seems to be not finishing it. It's a horrible habit, and not one broken overnight. The first step is recognizing the problem right? Then the next is doing something about the problem - but that step can be pretty high sometimes. I don't always reach it.
It's one of the many downsides to fanfiction. Too many stories are abandoned, and while it may not be malicious intent on my part, I can imagine it's still disheartening to readers when a story they love is neglected and never finished. I didn't want to be that kind of author, and I don't - if that makes any kind of sense.
Rare and Black Gates will be finished eventually. No, I don't know when, and I'm not making any promises I'll break anyway. I might post a new story first (Dishonored fandom Corvo/The Outsider)- but only if I finish it.
That's going to be my new thing. Finish it first, then post. It's fairer to you, and less stress and guilt for me.
My, if you want to see what I look like, and snoop through details of my sordid life.
Writing wise...I've been at it a while. Studied it for years. Experimented, played around with some styles - decided my current one suits me best. A bit of abstract, a bit of poetry, and emphasis on emotions and sensory details. Sometimes I let the more spiritual side of me sneak in, some concepts/themes that are mystical and numinous. Not a huge "tech" writer. It's one of my weaknesses. Dialogue used to be, but I think I'm getting the hang of it now.
My stories tend to be on the darker side: plenty of sex, blood, violence when it serves the plot or shapes the characters. I prefer slash to het unless intrigued by the pairing. Plot devices are fun, and putting canon characters in situations they have never faced before. I tend to favor AU - more wiggle room, but I always keep the canon accurate when possible.
Most of my stuff is WIP: I tend to write/update stories when inspired and encouraged. Keep in mind I have two jobs and a hectic life. Sometimes my updates will be sporadic.
Biggest inspirational authors to me: Stephen King, Patricia McKillip, and Janet Fitch.
