Okay-I love How to Train Your Dragon.

I am based in the UK and am definitely too old for any age restriction to count (!).

I have been writing recreationally for years but only recently moved into fanfiction. My stories tend to explore the (sometimes very) dark side of life-and its aftermath. My characters never get an easy ride. However, I am a sucker for a 'happy ending'...eventually.

Though my stories may touch or explore issues of discrimination, I do not support or tolerate discrimination on the basis of gender, sexuality, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, disability or any other protected characteristic. Likewise I consider that bullying or harassment are not acceptable in any form (though again these issues may be explored in my fictions).

I have to thank my late Dad for introducing me to the worlds of fantasy and science fiction (as well as action and adventure) and I have drawn on all of that experience in my writing. What you write is limited only by the breadth of your imagination. So yes, I write AUs as well as cannon and have taken the characters all over history and who knows where next? The only criteria are a good story and somewhere for it to happen. And I do cross most genres.

2020: I have also added a few Star Wars: Sequel Trilogy and Hobbit fictions to my repertoire. But don't worry-I am not abandoning HTTYD!

BUT PLEASE NOTE...

I am inspiration-driven as a writer which means sometimes I get a burning story idea which I have to write (hence periods of daily updates) and sometimes I just lack inspiration (often related to busy times at work or adverse family events). Because writing is something I enjoy and is a recreational activity (not my actual job-I do have one), I can't write without inspiration because it becomes a chore, not a pleasure and the results are uninteresting at best.

And while I want to deliver updates because I know people do look forward to them (as I do for those stories I am following), I CANNOT write when I have no inspiration.

Update Nov 1st 2020: I have just finished treatment for cancer and will need some time to get over the effects. I am writing but much more slowly (my concentration isn't what it used to be). But I will be back...just more slowly. Please be patient.

Update May 2021: Sadly in April 23rd 2021 Harry-my black cat and my FFN avatar died. RIP the real Harry Panther.
