12-15-2021 UPDATE: I have no idea when I'll be able to write more, and the half chapter I had done was already longer than chapter 1, so I went ahead of posted it, meaning chapter 2 of the new Love and War in now available! The rest of what was originally going to be in chapter 2 will now become chapter 3 whenever I have the chance to get to it.

11-29-2021 UPDATE: I know it's been a while and I'm sorry! I've had other obligations that have kept me from writing as much as I've desperately wanted to, but chapter two of the new Love and War is half done, and I literally think about it all the time. I promise I will finish it as soon as I can, I just can't guess when that will be. TT_TT

8-6-2021 UPDATE: I promise I am still working on the new Love and War. I've got chapter two outlined and one scene written, but my baby makes it impossible to write sometimes. If you take Wolfram and de-age him to eleven months old (in human time), that is my baby. She is cranky and angry and a brat, and I love her very much. I suspect she doesn't like being a baby and will calm down when she can actually be as independent as she wants to be, but until then... orz

1-17-2021 UPDATE: I swear I have not given up on the Love and War rewrite. I just have a very fussy, very clingy baby, so I haven't had a lot of time to do anything else other than take care of her (and occasionally shower and eat). She is apparently incapable of taking long naps, so I haven't had the chance to write anything. When she does nap, she demands (as much as a four month on can demand anything) that she do so beside me, holding my hand the entire time, which means I can't type. It's very cute, but also kind of frustrating. XD I promise the rewrite will happen. Just... not as quickly as I wanted it to.

11-16-2020 UPDATE: I haven't had much time to work on fic writing recently. Having a two-month-old takes up a lot of my time and energy. But I still intend to keep working on my fics, the new Love and War in particular. I just need to figure out some sort of schedule. orz

8-7-2020 UPDATE: I'M CLOSE TO HAVING A PREVIEW READY FOR THE NEW AND IMPROVED LOVE AND WAR!! It only took me four months. orz

It won't be as long as one of my chapters. I expect it to be around 4000 words, and it's only one scene, but it's something!!! I'll most likely be posting it as an additional chapter on the current version of Love and War. Once I have a new first chapter fully complete, I'll post the entire thing as a new fic, both here and on AO3 (which is much less of an eyesore than FFN, so don't hate me if I give AO3 more attention). I can't promise that I'll have a full chapter done soon, but I'm definitely working on it even if it takes me a long time!

4-7-2020 UPDATE: So the new coronavirus is a thing and I've been stuck in the house for the last month. You might think I'd used that time to do some writing, but you would be wrong. It's been an eventful 7-8 months since I last left an update here, with some bad things going on and some good things to follow. I had a miscarriage a few months after I started getting serious about a Love and War rewrite, and that threw me off for a while. Now I'm pregnant during a pandemic, which is just my luck, I suppose.

Anyway. I recently took a look at my fics again and I'm feeling a little better about writing in general, so we'll see how things go. I'd like to at least get some sort of preview ready soon, even if it's just a single scene, just to give you guys a feel for things to (hopefully) come. When I do get around to it, I'll be starting back at the beginning of Love and War, so don't expect any Between Kings updates for a long, long time. There's always a chance something will come up to interfere with any free time I might have for writing.

As for what will be involved from this "new and improved" Love and War: you can expect the same general plot with some significant changes to early events, and maybe some extra characters that hadn't made their way into the story yet. There might also be some changes to Yuuri and Wolfram's relationship, which was never supposed to be sunshine and rainbows in the original fic, so even if there might be more affection between them early on this time around, expect there to be some less-than-comfortable developments to go along with it.

8-26-2019 UPDATE: Hello to anyone who happens to check out my profile! It's been a long time since I've posted anything, so I never really believe anyone is still reading my fics, but then I check the stats sometimes and see Love and War is still getting a decent number of views despite the fact that it's been so long since I finished it and KKM fandom is pretty dead.

Anyway. If you're here, you're probably looking for one of two things: either to check out my other fics, or to see if there's any info about my activity and the possibility of my WIPs being continued. While I can't do anything to increase the number of fics I have available just yet, I can say that I have recently been taking a look at Love and War and Between Kings and have seriously considered re-writing that story from the beginning. I started writing it when I was 17 or 18 and it has been many, many years since then. Back then I was young and immature and naive, and now I'm a tired, jaded fandom old. I can sometimes force myself to skim through the last few chapters of Love and War, but other than that I can't even really tolerate looking at it. I've grown a lot and changed a lot and my writing has evolved a lot along the way, and my fics here just aren't up to my current standards.

How long will it take me to fix them??? I honestly don't know. I only have a page and a half written so far. It's very frustrating.

But I do want to thank everyone who's stuck with my fics and all those who still read them and wait for updates! I really, really appreciate it!
