Ah, yes, I've finally decided to join this wonderful place. A person could DROWN in the amount of fics this place has, you know that? (Of course you do) sighs in bliss Anyway, you won't find any masterpieces coming from me. I can write passably well, but that's about it. But that's what we're all here for, isn't it? So that we can learn to be better writers, right? (So that we can "Write righter"... snerk )
That bit up there was actually written YEARS back, when I first signed up to fanfiction.net - so it's actually really outdated. But for some reason I can't bear to delete it - mainly because it reminds me of how moronic/silly I was then (and probably still am, just that hopefully I hide it better now. :p )
I'm not actually a very regular fanfic writer - in fact, I pretty much "resigned" from writing fanfic until a recent obsession sparked off the desire to flourish my (now very rusty) writing skills. I am hoping to write more stuff in the future, though, if mainly for the fact that I want to get back into the habit of writing, and also because I've gotten obsessed with other series in recent years that make me want to write more fic for them, especially since a lot of the ones I like are either relatively less well known or don't have as many good fics for the characters/pairings that I like. (Though that's not to presume that MY fics are going to be any better, because after years of neglect my writing has a lot of catching up and evolving to do.)
So yes, please excuse the horrors my writing may inflict on you as I stumble my way towards the utopia that so many writers dream of, where everything they write is an instant work of art and comes naturally to them and where writer's block doesn't even exist in the dictionary (and where we will never have to use dictionaries since our vocabulary will be so awesome that we will automatically know every single word in existence as well as how to USE them). Though I doubt I'd ever be able to reach that holy place, but hey, it's going to be fun trying. :)
