The first thing you need to know about me is that I'm gay. If that's a problem for you, you probably won't want to hear anything I have to say, and you definitely WON'T want to read my stories.
Which brings me to the second thing you need to know about me: I write mostly SLASH (In fact, so far all of my stories are slash). That means that I take the fictional characters we all know and love so much, I exercise a bit of creative imagination, and I write fictional stories about these much loved characters thinking "what if?" and that often the "what if?" in my mind includes the question "what if this character was gay/lesbian/bisexual?"
A third thing you might want to know about me is a little something about the pairings I tend to write. I love pairings between characters who are generally known as being rivals. I especially enjoy writing stories that involve these characters getting together for the first time. The dynamic of following a relationship shift like that intrigues me, and you may notice that I like to explore it in my stories.
You may also notice that I tend to write a lot of "first time" fics. One thing about me, and many other gay people, is we love coming-out stories. We were (or in some cases, are) there at some point in our lives. We know what it's like, discovering something about ourselves, and the fear about how others will react when they find out.
And finally, the last thing you might want to know about me is reviews are like heroin to me. Reviews inspire me to write. If you love one of my in-progress stories and can't wait for more, let me know. This will light a fire under my ass and you'll get what you want.
I admit, I'm crap at updating. The reason: I have millions of ideas flying around in this schizophrenic brain of mine, there are numerous stories I've already begun, and though I do write at least some everyday, I'm spreading it among these stories. Plus, I'm easily distracted by sparkly objects (read as: code for ADD). Reviews bring stories to the forefront of my mind, and make me want to write more (to get more reviews-seriously, like heroin.)
If you care to know anything about the real me:
I live in Minnesota, USA with the love of my life. In August 2013 gay marriage was made legal in our state, so we got married on August 9th of that year! I am a freelance writer. I have a major interest in criminology, forensic psychology, sociology, physics, history, and philosophy. In fact, they interest me so much, I've earned degrees in crim and psych, and would obtain degrees in the other disciplines if money weren't an issue. As it is, I study them in my free time.
In my spare time, aside from pursuing knowledge in areas that interest me, I also write/play music, paint, read, and-of course-write. And some people have asked, so I thought I'd clarify. Yes, I actually do have schizophrenia.
