Author has written 14 stories for StarTrek: The Original Series, and Star Trek: 2009.
I've been a fan of Trek since day one back in 1966. Then in
1967, I met the true loves of my fannish life, Sarek and Amanda at the
ripe old age of 14 and have been stuck on them ever since.
Attending my 1st con in 1973, a marriage and a child prevented me from becoming
truly active in fandom until 1977, at which time I started to
illustrate for almost 20 years, my writing confined almost exclusively
to poetry. Over the course of my years in fandom, I was lucky
enough to work for and become friends with Mark Lenard. Upon his
illness in 1996, I pretty much dropped out of fandom altogether.
In late 2001, I got the itch again and in curiosity, started to look on
the web to find out who and what was still be written about my favorite
couple. Within several months, the Sarek and Amanda Group at Yahoo
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sarek_and_Amanda/ ) started up, and with
it I started to write fiction for the 1st time with any consistency.
The essence of my writing is to capture emotion. As dearly as I would
love to write a novel, I have come to accept that might not be in my
future, so instead I try to catch the feelings of these moments and offer them to the reader.
