A few years later, Coriolanus Snow dies of natural causes in his 80s and is succeeded by Ava Greenleaf. My stories take place after these events. This universe is canon-compliant with minor exceptions and excluding BSS. Renaissance Island is the first such story, which includes characters made by myself and other FF users. A Nostalgia for Innocence is a sequel of a similar format, currently in progress. Palatinus – sandwiched between Aventine City and Caelian Heights, the most populous and densely populated sector. Largely residential, mostly middle class. Caelian Heights – at the southeastern edge of the city, also on the shores of Lake Aeneas. Occupied by healthcare facilities, research companies, software firms, and various other high-tech industries. The brain center of the Capitol. Capitolia – found at the heart of the city, the most recognizable part of the Capitol. Home to the Training Center, Presidential Palace, Avenue of the Tributes, and other assorted government offices. Smallest sector by area and population. Esquilina – a lively, artistic sector to the east of Capitolia. One can find many nightclubs, upmarket restaurants, boutiques, museums, and art galleries here. The most expensive part of the city. Home to Starlight Square, the neon-lit entertainment and shopping center of the Capitol. Quirinalis – the largest neighborhood by size, located to the north of the city. This is the most affordable part of the Capitol while also being quieter than the inner city. MOst of the city's industrial areas are located here. Home to the Mall of the Nation and the flagship University of Panem Quirinalis (UPQ). Viminalis – a largely suburban area to the northwest, spaced apart from the rest of the city. Located at the base of a mountain, many of the Capitol’s wealthiest have sought refuge here. Houses are spaced farther apart and a higher percentage of the residents own cars. Other Geographical Points of Interest Catalina – Capitol vacation colony located off Panem's western coast. Modern-day Santa Catalina Island, California. Renaissance Island – a small island off the northeastern coast of Panem. Used for mutt research (Project BEOWULF) during the rebellion, but later abandoned as R&D was moved to a new site closer to the Capitol. Modern-day Maine.
