Author has written 12 stories for I Dream of Jeannie, M*A*S*H, Gilligan's Island, Greatest American Hero, Dragonriders of Pern series, Scrubs, and Doctor Who.
On a Doctor Who kick right now, both classic and modern. At the time I'm updating this, I'm on a Baker Boys kick, they're my Doctors. I love the 6/Peri 'ship. I hadn't grokked the 4/Sarah Jane 'ship until today, when I listened to Tom and Lis on the commentary for "Genesis of the Daleks." There's one scene showing Lis and Tom says, quite lovingly IMO, "Absolute perfection, oh!" Hmmm, something to write about mebbe?
On a side note, just venting here and not expecting any kind of answer, I was wondering something. I was chastized for creating a songfic, being told it's not in the public domain. So my first question is: Aren't many of the fandoms on this site not in the public domain? Why is it okay to create stories based on characters created by someone else, but songs can't be used? Eg, is JK Rowlings okay with a billion people writing Harry Potter stories? I know this site will respect an author's wish to not have their fandom used on-site (eg, for the longest time Anne McCaffery forbade any fanfic based on her worlds but eventually changed her mind, with certain caveats). My second question is: Why are fanfics allowed depicting actual people? I saw one this morning where it was written about Matt Smith. Not the 11th Doctor that he portrayed, but Matt Smith himself. Those are the ones I find offensive and disrespectful to celebrities that the fanfic writers allegedly adore.
All done. Peace out, y'all!
