My name is Catie. I've been writing fan fiction since I was ten, and publishing it here since I was thirteen. As such, most of my older stories are pretty much what you'd expect from an awkward adolescent girl. I'd like to think that my writing has improved since then and that my more recent work is of a higher quality, but in five years or so I'll probably think those stories embarrassingly immature as well.

About the "Timeline" stories
My three most recent Avatar: The Last Airbender stories - Timeline, Choices, and Almost - all theoretically take place in the same quasi-alternate universe. I say quasi-alternate because they are intended to be canon-compliant with A:tLA, but not with The Legend of Korra, though the 'verse does incorporate some details from the latter.
Timeline was written way back when the LoK was first announced and all we knew was that Korra was the next Avatar and Tenzin was Aang and Katara's son. Given what we'd seen of Aang and Katara's relationship in A:tLA, however, I'd never been able to see it lasting in the long term, so this story was my way of reconciling that - and, in hindsight, I think, my own personal mourning for the Zutara that never was.
Yet in the course of writing it, I found myself doing loads and loads of worldbuilding - other story snipits about other characters, an actual timeline, and heck, I even wrote out the entire fictional peace treaty that ended the war. Not wanting to let all that go to waste, I had the idea to write a parallel story about Zuko. After two years of ignoring it more than working on it, that story underwent mitosis and became Choices and Almost.
I've still got more ideas for this 'verse that I'd like to explore - there's a Toph-centric work-in-progress that I'd like to complete in less than two years this time, and I've got a feeling Aang will eventually demand to have his say - but we'll see where the inspiration takes me.
