Write on! :D Why Vocaloid Fan Fiction? I think this answer is pretty obvious: There are so many creative opportunities with Vocaloid fan fiction! The creators of each individual Vocaloid has left so many things about these characters – personality, relationships, and lifestyles, to name a few – to the fans that no Vocaloid fanfic writer has to worry about Miku ever acting out of character or portraying Rin and Len’s relationship in a way that’s not “canon.” Sure, a lot of Vocaloid fanfic writers could just create their own original characters for their story since the only real difference between Vocaloid fanfic and original fic is the characters, but simultaneously, the love we have for these Vocaloids and their songs needs to be expressed the best way we know how. I write Vocaloid fan fiction because Vocaloid has been an impact in my life for years now, and it’s also the optimal franchise (can I call Vocaloid a franchise?) that gives me room to be as creative as possible without fear of trying to stay within the box of characters and world.
