Just beginning as a fiction writer. Looking for all the help I can get. If you read my stories, please review whether you like them or not. I am always looking to get better and I need feedback from the readers to see how I can improve. I will not write slash, graphic sex, or gratuitous violence, although most of my stories will concentrate on Middle Earth during the War of the Ring which means there has to be some fighting and orc-bashing. I will also not be writing any romances (my wife says I don't have a clue - but she loves me anyway). So without all the juicy stuff to attract readers, what's left? That pretty much forces me to develop and write good, solid stories. (Not that the other stuff can't be good, it's just not for me.) Hopefully, I will be successful at it with your help.

My parents instilled a deep love for reading in me early in my life. I am deeply grateful to them for that. I like a variety of stories but mainly read Lord of the Rings and similar genres. There are many wonderful writers on this site in most areas. I know I haven't found them all but I can highly recommend all of those in my favorites list. They are all very good and some are truly amazing.

Now get on out there, read and REVIEW. Not just mine but everything you read. The authors want and need it. And don't be afraid to put your story together and write it. Remember, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I don't think anyone ever died from a bad review. If it doesn't go well the first time, keep trying. Never give up hope. (Right, TreeHugger?)
