Hello, dear readers:
My name is Rachelle, I am currently a teacher and musician, and I've been writing and posting stories on Fanfiction dot net for ten years.
The Disclaimer: I am aware that occasionally my grammar and sentence structure is terrible. I’m also aware that occasionally my spellchecker doesn’t pick up words that are spelt correctly but are the wrong context. When I read them I don’t catch it either, most of the time, but I don't currently have a Beta. I do want to thank everyone who has helped me with individual stories, in the past, and hopefully in the future. Thank you so much for all of your help and support. Without you, I just wouldn’t know how bad things get sometimes. Also, thank you for all the amazing creative input. It adds so much to the stories, and I love it.
The Muse: Currently my muse has been elusive. I have been a pretty prolific writer for several years now, but I have slowed down. I am determined to finish what I have started, and I have started several stories that haven't made it much farther than a few chapters that have not seen the outside of a note book. For now, I am finished the stories that I have posted and that do not have endings. After that, we'll see where the muse takes me.
The Rant: So one of my biggest pet peeves is when people come on here and comment on stuff as a guest because all they want to do is complain and be mean and not actually give constructive criticism. They never say anything constructive about the story, they just comment for the sake of being mean and rude. Whatever happened to 'if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all'? Like really, if you don't like it that much why are you reading it. Also, posting as a guest, all that negative BS so that I can't respond to you only gets your guest comment deleted in the review moderation feature. That's what the feature exsists. I mean sure you can hide behind your anonymity and not get any backlash but if I read the first few words and get the gist of your rudeness, I don't give it much more time than that. The only person that is ever going to read your nasty comments is me, and honestly I just delete them and go about my day. I'm not changing my stories, especially ones that have been written for years, for you. And, just let me say, that these stories are fiction so if you're looking for real world authenticity in everything, you're reading the wrong genre of story. Go find yourself factual, biographical, realworld accounts and leave the fictions to those who can actually understand them as fiction. Also, I like certain character, I don't like other, and well if want to write about the characters I like over the characters you like, that's my prerogative because these are my stories...like isn't that common sense? Should I really have to say that? If you don't like it, don't read it, and if you want to read stuff about certain specific characters over others, then write them yourself. Edit: I have decided to start answering the guest reviews that I moderate, if they are worth keeping. If they aren't and fall into the BS that the above post talks about, they will be deleted.
