I have spent approximately 5 years reading Fan Fiction on this site! It is truly one of the only sites I've found to provide my imagination with the extension the television shows I watch does not provide. I am not an aspiring writer and I do not know if what I publish will intrigue readers. However, there have been so many stories that I've read and wondered if I could ever post what my imagination has rolling around in it.
I am a teacher with a 9 year old boy who is constantly saying, "Mom, you're reading that again?!" Laughing I think, "I could be watching it. Reading is so much better for my brain, lol!" I'm a teacher and I really enjoy television and Internet. I discovered twitter and as a grown, unmarried woman people laugh, but I don't care! To find me on the Internet simply go with my username...
So, lets see if you have anything in common with me...
My first Shipper Couple was -
Lorelai & Luke, Gilmore Girls: Before Rory & Logan and before Lorelai & Christopher
And then, the shipping went on from there!!!
Logan & Rory were next: I found myself digging into other sites to see if there was anymore to read. Fanfiction.net was always the best!
Elliot & Olivia, SVU: That put me into the darkness and ratings, finding that M was always my favorite. I also read Oz with Christopher Meloni but that was a little too much slash for me.
Sully & Michaela, Dr. Quinn
Padme & Anakin, Star Wars: Episode III
Chandler & Monica, Friends
Joey & Rachel, Friends
EJ & Sami: Days of Our Lives: They're beginning and then again now with curent times I'm at it again.
Troy & Gabriella, High School Musical: I know childish, but in fanfiction anything's possible.
Angel & Cordelia, Angel
Derek & Meredith: Grey's Anatomy
Booth & Bones, Bones: This is when I finally found my couch and fanfiction cuz I got my first laptop!!!
Damon & Elena, The Vampire Diaries: Makes me wonder where I might go from here? Check out this livejournal - laniaaa.livejournal.com/56243.html
Gibbs & Abby, NCIS
All I can say is, its been a fantastic ride! When my day sucks and I need to feel good Friends and fanfiction are my rescue. I taught English and would hear kids say they hate reading. All I could think was, "Well, you love T.V. Try fanfiction." Funny, but the writing in here is awesome and makes me feel good enough to spread it. I was often aggravated because I felt like I had to keep it a secret, until I found a good friend with the same weakness of fanfiction as myself. We laugh now when we call the other and ask, "What are you doing?" And inevitably I response is often, "reading fanfiction". Anytime there's a new fandom out there, the writers dig in and give us alternate universes we need, thank god!
I will begin on my first story this evening, hopefully the pleasure I've rec'd will give new readers the same pleasure. In addition, I pray I can write and stick with it to bring peace and another obsession to my life! I can never have enough.
Have a W.D.W. Day! (Figure that one out!) Also, I am not a huge fan of posting my personal avatars as the men I ship, but I thought it would be acceptable on FANFICTION.NET!
