Author has written 19 stories for Peter Pan, Lord of the Rings, M*A*S*H, Fairy Tales, Dracula, Van Helsing, Harry Potter, Misc. Tv Shows, X-overs, Misc. Movies, and Thor.
Name: Wouldn't you like to know...
Age: I was born October 30th, 1986. You do the math.
Home: I live in Ohio, USA, but I wouldn't necessarily call it home... Let's see how to put this... I want to move into the TARDIS, hide it in Forks, and go to Hogwarts on the weekends. (tm Pieces of Flair app on MySpace)
Sexuality: Bi. I see no reason to hide it here... I've never seen much point in hiding it in general, once I get to know people.
What I look like: Brown hair, brown eyes, 4'11", a little more weight on me than I'd like, but I'm working on it.
Favorite Actors: Johnny Depp, Gerard Butler, Jason Isaacs, Hugh Jackman, Richard Roxburgh, Nathan Fillion, Craig Parker, and Matthew MacFayden.
Favorite Actresses: Kiera Knightly, Helena Bonham Carter, Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Bridget Regan, Tabrett Bethell, and Kate Beckinsale.
TV: Legend of the Seeker, American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, House, Castle, Firefly, Buffy, MASH, Doctor Who, Sailor Moon and other anime.
Movies: X-Men, almost anything directed by Tim Burton or Joss Whedon, POTC, Sleeping Beauty, Van Helsing, Harry Potter, anything staring Johnny Depp, Kill Bill 1& 2, Labyrinth, and Dracula 2000... To name a few.
Music: David Cook, MWK (Midwest Kings), most rock/grunge/punk, classical, soundtracks, some New Age, and Tran-Siberian Orchestra.
What pays the bills: Currently, I work at a Wendy's, running front counter, but I've just got my certification to be an STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) and will probably go to work at a nursing home in the assisted living section. In my perfect world, I'd be a world famous novelist, and be able to get my crap published, rather than let it only be here.
Artsy-fartsy Stuff: I do a fair amount of computer editing with pictures. I've got a photobucket account where you can see all the stuff... And, as an added bonus, my YouTube page http://www.youtube.com/user/britishpixie where you can see all my music videos. As usual, I do like comments... Leave them on those pages, or message me here... I'm not picky. Enjoy!
I am so terribly sorry for my absence. My online time was cut short, not to mention I'm doing a complete overhaul on "Never Say Never". But I'll check in from time to time. Glad to see I'm appreciated. I've got many ideas to put down... Just hope I'll have time to put them in.
Sept. 15 08- Seriously, now! I'm starting to wonder if anyone liked my first attempts at MASH fiction at all! Review? Please? Aside from whining, I'm starting to work on an X-Men Van Helsing crossover. Also, one of the few stories I've ever written that isn't a romance, really. I'll be putting that up when I've got a few chapters written. I'm also working on another chapter in the MASH one, or several. That way, no one is in just horrible suspense.
Sept. 17 08- Just a bit of rambling thoughts here... Specifically on MASH character Charles Winchester. I got a review (Finally!) on One Thing at a Time, and basically said that Charles wouldn't have been at all inexperienced. Yes, he dated people while at the 4077, but does that mean that he went all the way? Not necessarily. There's experience, and then there's-experience-. Two different things entirely. And as to his brief "marriage" to that nurse what's-her-face, even if they had done anything, he was far too drunk to remember it, so I hardly think that would have influenced his wedding night.
Sept. 18 08- I'm pondering... My friend Moonlight Bushido and I (along with a third party not on this site) have been writing a ginormous fanfic over the last 9 or so years together... almost 10 now. I've been thinking of putting characters into stories for here from that... I don't think I would attempt to actually put in the stories as originally done, not only because of the fact that I've no doubt that people would be confused as hell with it all, but also because it's so massive, I don't think that my computer has the memory capacity for it.
Ramble, Part 2- I reread the review of One Thing at a Time... And now that I've thought it over, I think I need to agree. I will be putting an alternate version of that scene into So This is Love, but I won't take down the other until I'm to that point. I'd like to think that Charles would have been very propper as he was raised, but no one who manipulates people in jokes as he does could possibly be completely pure. But, I also think that he wouldn't be too free about who he was with. But, that's just me. I might do a rewrite of the wedding night in the meantime, just shifting some lines and putting in that Charles wasn't a beginner... just to get the idea out and all, so I don't forget... Which was why I wrote that particular story in the first place. I couldn't get the idea out of my head, so I slammed it out in less than an hour, just to get it out of my brain. But that's for another day.
Sept. 22 08- As you may notice, I've begun signing my reviews as "The Pixie"... Not to mention I've had the fortune to read some of the funniest fics I've found today, so almost everyone in this library must think me mad. But let them. I'm being entertained, and they're reading about... fungus, or whatever. Their loss.
Dec. 12 08- So sorry to be quiet for so long. My internet time has been cut dramatically, and I've been reduced to sporatic times in the library. Blegh. But, I've not been idle. I've started working again on So This Is Love, and I've got a good chunk of chapter 4 done. I've also begun a Sleeping Beauty story, where I've sort of expanded the 1959 Disney movie. I'll be putting up the first couple chapters soon, if not the whole thing. Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorite movies, so this is moving very quickly for me. Oh, and I'll also be doing some ranting on my MySpace page, so be sure to check there and leave me a note as I babble on and on about how I get such terrible writer's block. Kinda like I do here.
Jan. 19 09- Seriously? No reviews... I'm getting very frustrated, let me tell you. I actually sometimes take reader comments into account when I write, and I'm a little put out about the lack of... well, anything. I'm tempted to go on strike, but that would mean I wouldn't have anywhere to put all my ideas. So. I want some feed back, but no one seems to be giving any. I don't know what to do, since people don't seem to give a crap. It actually brightens my day to see a review, so would someone give me something? Please?
Mar. 13 09- Oye... Cat Of Nine Tails, whoever you are, you seriously need to actually read who you're flaming before you send the review. I never have, nor ever shall I write South Park fiction. The review has been deleted, as will any others I get from you about this crap. Seriously.
May 13 09- Sorry for not updating Darkness Unbound and Beauty, but due to my fictional leading man David Cook's recient loss of his older brother to brain cancer, I didn't really have the heart to write in stories that would soon torture the characters I'd based on him. I'll be getting started again soon, I promise. DU is almost done, after all. After the third chapter's written, the fourth will be a snap. I might even put up both at the same time.
May 20 09- OMG AMERICAN IDOL! I just did the Snoopy Dance, I was so happy! Adam Lambert singing with Kiss! WOW! That was awesome! I didn't see David Cook's performance, but I heard it's... spectacular, spectacular, no words in the vernacular... can describe this great event; you'll be dumb with wonderment! I need sleep, I really do... I need sleep, how 'bout you?! Night folks, I'm out until tomorrow.
June 09 09- VH Dracula is distracting me... and now Lucius Malfoy is distracting me too... If all these good looking bad guys don't stop running through my brain, I'll never get to finish Beauty or Darkness Unbound... Speaking of Beauty, I've decided to do a series of fairy tales with a twist, like I did with Beauty. Here are my planned stories, to give you a taste... Won't necissarily do all of them, but most... Golden- Rumpelstiltzkin, Aqua- The Little Mermaid, Beloved- Beauty and the Beast, Towering- Rapunzel, Hunger- Little Red Riding Hood, and Dance- Twelve Dancing Princesses. These, along with Sleeping Beauty, are some of my favorite fairy tales... And I'm going with the original versions, not the sweetened up versions Disney gives... So, in Aqua, it's not going to be a very happy ending... Read the Hans Christian Anderson version, it's bloody depressing... In Hunger, there is no woodsman to save Little Red, because it's supposed to be a cautionary tale for children to listen to their parents and not talk to strangers... I'll also be thinking of these really old cartoons that Nickelodeon used to run, of the old Grimm's versions of fairy tales... Been years since I've seen them, but I still remember them... Hmm, maybe the library has them...
June 12 09- Have I mentioned that I'm rather insecure about my abilities at poetry? Do wish people would review that sucker... Or the blatant smut that accompanies. I really like reviews, folks! Don't be shy!
June 14 09- This is intollerable! I have Darkness Unbound all finished, but the document uploader is down! I finally finish something, and I can't put it up! It's not fair!
June 17 09- Read a bit on Mary-Sues in a few essays online... One of my favorite original characters of mine, named Alana (pronounced A-lain-a), is frighteningly close to being a Mary-Sue... From the slightly oddball name to the fact that she's very smart and very powerful, and even the fact that, in that giant massive fanfic I talked about a few entries up, she's the daughter of Ares and Xena... She could be a Mary-Sue... But I'd like to think she's not because she has flaws. Not giant massive ones that envoke pity from everyone around her, it's usually ones that make people dislike her. She'll open her mouth without thinking, generally do the wrong thing... And she's not the toughest or strongest or bravest character ever... And while I do kill her off at the end in a very beautiful and tragic way, she didn't die saving everyone from everything, she only helped the original characters do it. And she didn't even die in the battle, she died when one of the bad guys stabs her after it's all over.
July 09 09- You know, it's amazing to me that there are no Passionada fics on here. I may need to rememdy that. It's a beautiful movie... Helps that Jason Isaacs is romantic for a change, and lives happily ever after. I adore the man as a villain, and love it when he gets to be particularly nasty (because, I know as an actor that's fun as all get out...) but seeing him playing a sweet, romantic lead was wonderful... Not to mention a particular scene about an hour in that gets the blood racing, shall we say... Watched it with actor comentary, and he seems like quite the charming individual. Apparently, he gets very embarrassed about kissing scenes, both watching them and filming them. According to him, he was pretty well hiding under seats durring the premiere. He's also a little insecure about his dancing abilities, which I thought were rather good. Yes, ladies, Jason Isaacs is a romantic lead and dances. The perfect movie.
July 10 09- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is five days away! I thought about going to a midnight showing, but I get paid the day after it comes out... After renting Passionada and the thoroughly disgusting Event Horizon, I'm completely broke. Passionada was SO worth it... But Event Horizon... Not even Jason Isaacs with no shirt could save that movie. I am never watching that again, no matter what. NEVER. I should have gotten The Patriot. One of the few Mel Gibson movies I liked... And it had Jason Isaacs in it. Shame the next HP movie doesn't have Lucius Malfoy in it. Oh well, I know I'll get my Lucius fix in Deathly Hallows. Or in one of the many Lucius romances here.
July 23 12- Wow it's been a while. I'm not dead or anything, still writing... Just been very busy with a financial crisis and some family crap. I'm working on some original stuff, so it won't be up here, but I'm also working on some Avengers fanfiction... I saw it 14 times, and fell madly in love with Loki (and Tom Hiddleston, the actor who plays him). I've also got a rather epic LOTR fic almost done that I need to finish and post. Bah, I need to be able to either duplicate myself, or freeze time to get all this crap done.
