![]() Author has written 11 stories for Naruto, Inuyasha, Harry Potter, and Bleach. About me: Name: There are too many creepy people out there, so for my own sake call me Daenerys or Dany. Favorites: Anime/manga: Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, Fruits Basket, Midori no hibi, Chobits, Love Hina, Negima! Magister Negi Magi, Zatch Bell, UFO Baby, Alice 19th, The Law of Ueki, One Piece, Mahoromatic, Ayashi no Ceres, Loki, Kare Kano, Marmalade Boy, Ultra Maniac, Ultra Cute, Tenjho Tenge, School Rumble, Death Note, D-Gray Man, Durarara!, Kaicho wa Maid-sama,... surely there are more, but I can't remember them. About Fanfiction: I've been around since 2004, when while at a friend's we started to look for information about Naruto; we came across this site, and were astonished: how came people wrote about our dear characters and put them in those kind of situations? We started to read and send reviews, and before the month was out I had read all the fics (in spanish). Of course I didn't understand a lot of things (why do they pair Hinata with Sasuke if they don't even speak in the manga/anime?!), but as time went by I got to grasp the main concept of fanfiction: whatever you desire the characters to do, it's possible, you'll only have to sit in front of the computer and write (and sometimes you can even jump that part and find something on the same lines). So two years later, I started to write (poorly if I may add, and of course in Spanish), though I have let my only long story locked up somewhere and I have lost the key, so don't think I'll update it in a short time (or sometime for the matter). Naruto: My first anime, my first drawings, my first fanfiction. I really, really liked this manga and anime, but when the put all those fillers on the anime they lost me. Yes, I watched the begining of the Shippuden, but just til they rescued Gaara and tried to get Sasuke back (again), and I watched it because I had already read it and wanted to see the Akatsukis and Kazekage!Gaara. Nowadays I'm still informed periodically by a friend of what is going on, though I do it more to let her rant than for my interest. Nevertheless, I like to read Naruto fanfiction, mostly of the pairings I support, or some AUs. Characters I like: Shikamaru I can't stand: Ino Pairings I ship: Shikamaru/Temari Pairings I hate: Shikamaru/Ino Bleach: I've been in and out of this anime for years! I love the storyline and the characters, but somehow life catches up to me and I have to stop watching it, and always have to re-watch 20 episodes before I know where I was. Last time I left when Pantera!Grimmjow is fighting Ichigo, and just as he loses fillers came. I don't know how good they are (were?), but I sure hope they are more interesting than the Bound ones... I know what happens next (I am unable to avoid all the spoilers coming my way), so I don't know if I'll ever be strong enough to see Ulquiorra disappear *sniff* Just joking, I'll try to watch all the chapters (and films) this summer to be update, wish me luck! Characters I like: Renji I can't stand: Rukia Pairings I ship: Ulquiorra/Orihime Pairings I hate: Ichigo/Rukia Inuyasha: What can I say about our lovable hanyou? I watched all the episodes (167) a long time ago, and a couple of years ago discovered there were new ones coming! I started to read the manga, but I just don't like Rumiko Takahashis style, so I read the final chapters only. At first I was a total canon lover, but lately I have been presented with Sesshomaru, and man, I think I have fallen in love (L) When I first watched the anime I didn't pay attention to him, but one day, when I was bored, I searched for some Sesshomaru fics and was hooked. Of course, there are a lot of fics out there I don't like at all: all the "must-find-a-mate", "I rape you and mate you", "I talk with my inner-beast"... and then Kagome accepts it and decides she needs looooove... I really have to stop reading when just because Inuyasha broke her heart (or died or whatever) she decides she will go with whoever wants her; girl, you are 15-20, there's your whole life ahead of you, you don't need to find a boyfriend! Neither do I like those stories where she has to become the Lady and the author makes and insulting quantity of OC's for the court, or she has to be all submissive because he's the Lord of the West; our Kagome is not like that, so stop making a new character with her name, I beg you. Characters I like: Kagome I can't stand: Kikyo Pairings I ship: Sesshomaru/Kagome Pairings I hate: Naraku/Kagome (eeek!) Fruits Basket: Favorite manga ever. Good story, good characters, humor and drama and romance and actual plot, all in one! So what if Tooru is a bit naive, that's part of her charm (L) I have to admit I started hating Yuki, really hating him (like, damning him every time he had a scene) because of Kyo. Luckily, I re-read it and got attached to him, maybe because I knew Tooru would develop feeling for the other Shoma (though at that time they still hadn't got to the point of romance tension (can't call it sexual tension, they are both too naive)). Characters I like: Kyo I can't stand: Akito Here I like all the canon pairings, so I won't bother with it* Harry Potter: And to think I first thought this fandom couldn't give me anything *shakes head amused*. I have to thank JK for her brilliant world and for sharing it with us, though she paints that world in black and white, with only some shades of grey (aka Snape). For me, she's like any of us, writing with her characters situations, but I decide if I believe it or not, that's to say, just because she says it happens that way it doesn't have to. And that last book felt like a huge fanfiction to me, maybe because it suddenly started to talk about the Hallows and the action didn't happen on Hogwarts and so many characters died. Don't get me wrong, I knew some had to die, it would be too cliché and fairytale-like otherwise, but she could have given their deaths more than two frigging lines! Oh, look, Remus and Tonks and Fred and Mad-eye and Creevey are dead. Okay. An owl got more attention than that!! Characters I like: Hermione Granger I can't stand: Ginny Weasley Pairings I ship: Hermione/Draco Pairings I hate: Ron/Hermione Labyrinth: Two words: David. Bowie. It's a film I can watch time and time again and never get tired of it! I love all the Jareth/Sarah stuff out there, though lately I think most fics have gotten pretty boring (too many PWPs, or making Sarah miss him horribly and forgetting all about her brothers kidnapping...). Things I won't read: Something that creeps me out are the rape fics. People out there: please, please stop writing those stories where she's raped and wants to keep the child growing inside her; as a friend of a raped girl, I can tell you that all that shit of "aww, I love my baby so much!" is not real, the situation is really hard for the raped person, she has to consider abortion, so it's not reallly a thing you should make fics about. Consider this plot: you get kidnapped, raped (sometimes repeatly), you find yourself with child and he's all happy, you hate his guts, what would you do? Be all "well, I'll give you a chance, you are not so bad and I love this baby fruit of your rapes *heart*"? Life is not like that, I at least would want to get rid of the thing growing inside me and escape, and if I get to kill the bastard all the better. Also, pregnancy fics make me want to puke, mostly considering that nearly all of them are about teenagers getting pregnant. More than once I have started reading a very good fic, but suddenly the author thinks it's a good idea to make a baby appear and from then on most of the plot involves around the maternal/paternal instincts *shudders*. My Finished Stories: Blando: 1816 Hits, 32 Reviews, 44 Favs. Recently I have started writing in English, though they are stories told in short chapter 'cause I don't feel confident enough with the language. I have Twitter (rarely use it), LiveJournal, DeviantArt, and Dokuga accounts, but I'm more a lurker than a writer. |
