Author has written 5 stories for Sailor Moon, and Twilight.
Writing has been a dream of mine for many, many years. It started with a co-authorship of a story in a story forum over ten years ago. It is safe to say that writing fan fiction has taught me a few things... particularly that the English language is complex, and people should treat it with respect. That being said, one can only learn if they practice. That's what I feel fan fiction does - it exercises the mind through creative process and utilizes the writing rules of the Golden Grammar Gods. I do not regret writing fan fiction, but I do realize that it is only a stepping stone. The true test is to actually writing something original. But, it is nice to practice with someone else's characters from time to time.
I am currently a 27 year old Resource teacher from Southwestern Ontario, Canada. I am married, with no children (yet), but do own a wonderful siamese tabby point cat named Zelda. I went to University and graduated with a double major: English and Fine Art. For two years I taught high school English and Art, and enjoyed every minute of it. I am slowly writing my own novel - a fictional memoir of a retired teacher. It is slow going, but should be interesting.
In the realm of this community, I started out in the Sailor Moon section - I loved that show growing up. After, I've expanded my horizons - reading many other fan fictions, including numerous tv shows, movies and books. I love seeing what everyone comes up with for ideas... and I find when I comment, I actually leave constructive criticism, instead of leaving a filler answer. Authors need constructive criticism to get better. And honestly, if the author can't spell, someone should remind them to use a Beta reader... or at least spell check.
I can be found on twitter: @- if you would like something edited, send me a tweet!
Note: I have stopped taking beta requests due to personal reasons. I'll let everyone know when I'm back at it again.
Unfortunately, I have stopped beta-ing for (due to personal reasons):
She Gives Me Religion by Liz Lemon Bennett (Twilight)
A New Life by Connie Bustos (Twilight) - last few chapters, and then (eventually) a whole story edit.
Have finished beta-ing for:
Radiant Smile by TheContamination (Alice and Jasper Oneshot - Twilight)
- plus many others from previous years, as well as random first chapter only edits for authors that I have not been able to put onto my beta caseload.
