I've never been much of a writer and this is the first story I've ever written. I haven’t really done anything writing wise since high school but I’m trying to find something constructive to do with my evenings, as there are far too many nights with nothing interesting on the box. I've decided that I'd like to try my hand at it and see if I can make something half decent that people might be interested in reading.

I’m currently working on my first story HP and the Jade Dragon. I’m picking my story up from where the Harry Potter books left off as I didn’t like the way things were finished with some of the characters and I don’t really believe in changing the characters as they’ve been previously betrayed, however people grow older their temperament, confidence and the way they are does natural change through age and experience.

I was a bit late coming into the world of Harry Potter (and this site obviously) as I got into it around the Prisoner of Azkaban as I caught the second half of the film when it was on TV and I had to work my way back but I’ve fully immersed myself into the magical world and I looked for a Beta who took a similar journey down that rabbit hole who wouldn’t mind helping me expand the magical world and help with my ideas and character development.

Luckily I found that in Goldzar who is an unofficial beta on this site. He works his arse off editing my stuff while he's studying at college and while what we do might not always be perfect he puts in a hell of a lot of time into my story as I do.

While JK Rowling is taking the wizarding world west to America from her updates on Pottermore I’m wanting to go East for my first literature stroll into the wizarding world to see what adventures I can create in the land of the rising sun and then possibly to other places as well. I'm currently working with my Beta on a concept that I had, which I'll be revealing in my Author Notes at some point in my story.

I'm more than happy for reviews/feedback/constructive criticism and any ideas or help. I've tried to do bits of research to my story to make it more sensible and not really out there and unrealistic (or as unrealistic as magic can be). I know as people start reading my story that they might start thinking it a bit tame or another version of something else they've already read, but I'd ask that you preserve as it is going to hopefully be a bit different and go to places most stories haven’t ventured as much yet.

Anyway please have a read of what I've done and let me know what you think.If anyone is interested in being a beta for my story or can think of someone who they think will help I'm open to suggestions. I'm going to try and churn out about five chapters a month so any help would be appreciated.

Other things that I'm into and may try and do crossovers and stories in the future are things such as

X-Men, Percy Jackson, Game of Thrones, Marvel and DC comic characters. Love historical fiction and some fantasy novels as well as medieval and Roman eras things.

I'm big into my films and books although not a fan of remakes of classics such as Total Recall for an example.

As I've created a lot of original characters for HP and the Jade Dragon i'll be putting a character list on here for my readers to refer to, however I will be having to either limit the information on certain characters as anyone who goes through it before reading my story could have it ruined a little by having information they might not have read up to in my story, if that makes sense.

A/N as of Sunday 18th December 2016- Hello there rabid readers.

So I'm working on my first story HP & The Jade Dragon (hello there my loyal readers) and I was given feedback that due to the amount of original characters I've created, some are finding tracking them and remembering who is who to be quite tricky and therefore I decided to publish a character list with a description of who the character is.

These character lists will be growing in detail and gaining more information as more information regarding the characters is revealed to try and help every keep track of who is who, as I can appreciate that all the names can be confusing as there are so many and I'll be putting little snippets of the characters appearance or history or important information so that you can recognise them and I'll be updating this as and when regularly as I want to try and help you all remember who was doing what.

So obviously this is where the problem comes into proceedings as new readers by referring to this will no doubt learn more about characters than will have been revealed in the story if they look them up and this is part of the reason I've taken Lordblink's advice and moved the character list to my profile pages. I'm used to reading books with lots of characters and there is a few pages listing who they are and where the from as I understand that when seeing names like Hachiro, Takahiro, Yushiro in and around if there is no reference to the person's first name could get confusing.

So as a result on Chapter one and my current chapter 74 I'll be putting notice of this up so new and current readers a like will be able to find this and have something to refer back to if needed. It could be handy for people as when I put a bit more information on here it might remind readers of certain things that they may not have picked up at the first time of reading it.

Okay, everyone, this is Goldzar here essentially detailing some of the reasons why we have slowed down. It is essentially life getting into the mix of our writing and while we try to stay consistent on publishing but it doesn't work that way. We are trying to make this story the best we can while also making sure that you do not get bored with it. Which is an interesting task, looking at you flamers, but we persevere. Now onto some replies from some reviewers. Stop complaining about the pace of Hermione and Harry, we have a plan and it is great so please work with us here! Also the pace of the story in general, we are working on speeding up the pace so please stop complaining. We will be speeding up soon.
