Author has written 9 stories for Harry Potter, Naruto, and His Dark Materials. Hello, I'm Ren. Welcome and all that. Check out the stories in my favorites lists and C2 archives. There's gobs of goodies. Author's Commentary on Current Projects: The Girl with Red Hair - A Posted Work in Progress. This began as an attempt to seriously handle the combining of two seemingly different worlds, and has become a focus of my fanfiction writing these days, when I am not writing original work. The major point of this combining was to treat both sources with equal respect and "realistically" meld the two with Harry as its central protagonist. This particular story has the very real potential of becoming quite epic in length. It begins with Harry as a 5 year old, when he finds an old picture and is threatened to be shipped to China by freight. It continues through his childhood years in Konoha, with a focus on family and a bit of general adventure thrown in for spice. Mostly canonical, but keeps more to the sense of things than to the details of canon events. Fury - this is a tangent. This also has the possibility of being a prologue to a longer story, but there is no current guarantees, mostly because my time for fanfiction is quite limited and I'm focusing myself on The Girl with Red Hair. This is just another melding of Harry Potter and Naruto - but done in a very different way than The Girl with Red Hair. For those of you interested, you can also consider this a writing challenge prompt. Take this one-shot as a prolgue and run with it! I'd love to see what ya'll come up with. The Silver Lining - a play crossover with Harry Potter and His Dark Materials. At the moment it is coming out like a series of short, chronological prompts, and there is a rising backstory coming along for the ride - that is, Lily, Petunia and Severus' stories are clamoring to be told, arriving as little vignettes before the bulk of each chapter. It is almost the most interesting part of this tale... regardless, daemons abound, but there is currently no mention of the characters from HDM. Resources I use... ...for Naruto canon information: /wiki/Narutopedia an English/Japanese online dictionary: /onldict/jap.html. It's just a basic tool, and I would recommend always cross-checking words. If you're wondering how to use those words, well, you might be on your own there. And while I'm on the topic, on the rare occasions that I bother to look up canon Harry Potter information, it's wholly through 's encyclopedia here: |
