Everything was in ruin.

I lost everything that day. My family, my friends, everyone I cared about, they were all gone. When she died right before my eyes, I was ready to accept my death at the hands of the dragons that took away everything from me.

We had no idea that they would appear out of nowhere. Everything was in peace after the war and there was no need for us to fight anymore. Then one day, the dragons came and completely blindsided us. We had no idea how to defeat them, and it doesn't seem that there's any hope too. Many of my friends lost their lives to those beasts, including her.

We were all doomed that day.

And then, I remembered her voice. After all these years, I love and hate it at the same time. She just loves to show up just when everything looks like it's about to end, huh? She was telling me not to give up, and that I should keep fighting. I was foolish to just listen without thinking, but I won't regret it. She's saved me more times than I cared to count, even if she thinks of it the other way.

Maybe there really was a way to defeat those dragons that we haven't thought of yet. I was all alone in this, because everyone I cared about was already gone. The first world that fell victim to the dragons was my home, and I cried too many tears that day because I know that my parents were dead.

Still, her voice was there to keep me from going insane and giving up completely. The dragons are wreaking havoc in every world out there, leaving nothing but death and ruin once they're done. Actually, will they ever be done? Do they even know how to be satisfied? It's only a matter of time before they reach Kingdom Hearts and everything will be over.

I decided to make things right. This was a really crazy idea now that I think about it, but I've done crazier things myself.

I have no idea how Xehanort managed to pull off his time-travelling scheme before, but it looks like having a few scientists as your friends really does have its benefits. I won't have to use the power of waking this early then. Now, I don't have a clue if this plan will actually work, but it's the only thing I have. If I die trying to pull this off, then so be it.

But if there is the slightest chance that I can make this right, to prevent those dragons from ever getting to our world, then this is my only hope of saving everyone.

No one knew how those dragons came here, nor where they came from. Not even Yen Sid saw them coming, leading us to believe that they are not from this worldline. They are from a completely different universe and somehow, they managed to make their way here. This was a question that I needed to find an answer to.

Being a keyblade wielder truly had its advantages over the concept of time. No wonder Xehanort was able to leave his own timeline with his body intact instead of travelling as a heart.

I needed to take a page from the Organization's book and I started wearing a black coat from now on. Looks like their antics have gotten to me after two years of fighting them. As much as I didn't like them at first, I'm glad they all found peace wherever they are.

I knew that I had to conceal my identity the moment I woke up. Surely, people will freak out when they find out that a guy from the future actually travelled back in time for something important. Was this how Xehanort felt when he time-travelled for the first time?

Now, for the part of the plan that I personally didn't like. It sucks that I have to do this, but this may be my only shot in making things right. My heart is my guiding key, and her voice is telling me that this was my chance.

I have no choice, and I have nothing left to lose. Everything I cared for was already gone, but maybe I can prevent that horrible day from ever happening in this new timeline, even if I can never see her or my friends again.

It turns out that the price for using the power of waking in the wrong way was being banished to a dark void that seemed to be endless. Back then, I thought it would result in my own death, but... I guess this means I'm on the right track? It was like an alternate version of the world of ocean and sky, only that it was completely dark with nothing else in sight.

Actually, on second thought, it was more similar to the realm of Kingdom Hearts when Ansem was still the leader of the Heartless back then. However, this place was literally empty with nothing to step on. All I could see was darkness.

Now, the question that was in my mind during this time was, 'Where do I go from here?'. I went back in time, got transported elsewhere, so what's next? It was hard to figure things out when everything around me was only darkness. I honestly started to get scared, but somehow, this cloak I'm wearing reassured me that everything was okay. It was like some kind of shield against darkness.

I honestly spent hours just thinking of what to do next, and that's something I don't do often. Eventually, I just fell asleep because I felt like it. Maybe I can think of something when I wake up.

I had a strange dream. In that dream, I was speaking with a gigantic red dragon in the same void where I ended up, which was supposed to be bad because this might be an ally of those that attacked my world. What intrigued me, was that this dragon was different from the ones that attacked my world.

At that moment, I woke up from my sleep and I was shocked to see that the same red dragon from my dream was right in front of me and had a feral look on its face while its eyes looked like they were piercing right through me. I didn't want to show any fear that time, but that's not exactly possible when I was all alone in an empty void with no clue what I should do next.

I was surprised when the dragon asked me who I was, and what I was doing in his home, which was apparently called the 'Dimensional Gap'. Although there was something inside me that didn't trust this dragon, I really had nothing to lose at this point. So, I told the creature everything; from my name and origins up to what happened in my world when those dragons attacked, leading to my decision to travel back in time and prevent it from ever happening.

To my amazement, the dragon understood my words and even said that he once had a vision of that exact scenario happening in the future. I learned that this dragon was known as Great Red, the apocalypse dragon of dreams.
