Wow, I seem to get a few people visiting my profile page. Not much to see, really. I'm just an old shipper from way back. Been reading fanfic since the first moment I got access to the internet. I love sci-fi, romance, & drama - especially when they're all mixed together.

Not much else to say about myself, so I'll offer my opinion on fanfic in general. Personally, I think fanfic is the most fantastic medium for fiction out there. When I was a little kid, I always wanted to know what happened after "...happily ever after." Fanfic lets us envision that story, whatever it may be, and share it with others. I've seen ideas that would have been appalling on television but are fantastic in fanfic. As well, through fanfic I've seen beloved characters in shows and books and movies live out adventures and romances I never would have experienced otherwise. Devon wakes up from her coma to find Danziger at her bedside. Odo and Kira have a baby. Donna and Josh's secret marriage. Marcus's visit to Susan on the Day of the Dead. The years Aeryn and Crighton lived on that planet in The Locket. Catherine and Vincent live out their lives in peace and happiness. What Mulder and Scully really do in that basement office. Lets pretend that whole season 7 mess between Luke and Lorelai never happened... Oh, would Carter and O'Neill just get it on already! It's all fabulous, and even more amazingly, it's all done by talented and dedicated fans.
