I'm now on Facebook too. I've had a lot of requests to join so I have. My user name is Pearlglen Taylor. Come be my friend!
Here I am again, after another move, this time to the Old South. Hubby is starting his own computer business and baby has his first tooth and is on the verge of crawling. And its summer and the older boys do their darndest to drive mommy nuts some days. Ah, the joys of life! And I am still plugging away at writing. If any of you are still reading my story, then thank you very much for your patience. Much love! P.S. I'm on Twitter now. My user name is Pearlglen. You will see the same avatar as my new one here on fanfiction. See you in cyberspace!
Well, since it has been a while since I've updated, here is another one. I moved to the West Coast from the Midwest in June 2008, and just had a baby boy November 11, bring the total to boys: 3, girls: 0, in spite of all my wishing and the cute pink baby shoes I kept around for the past nine months as a good luck charm. I'm still trying to decide who is the harder one to deal with, the newborn, the 11 year old with autism, or the thirteen year old drama king. Truthfully though, at this point the newborn is the least of my worries! As long as he's changed, fed, and loved, he is one cool customer. If only his big brothers were as easy going as he is! SIGH! Oh, the "joys" of parenthood! In all seriousness, though, I wouldn't trade any of them, well most of the time anyway. Nor my other big kid, my husband, though when he tinkered with my computer and temporarily lost all of my writing files, I came close! Gaaa!! You can't mess with Erik like that! Or my blood pressure! Too many hours and tears have gone into this story! But he learned his lesson...I think. Well, that is about it for now. Thanks for reading everyone! You are a very patient lot, and I appreciate you!
Just so no one thinks I'm dead, here is an update. I am alive and very well, especially since I got married December 30, 2007. But life has also been a lot more hectic since then too, but I think things are finally settling down (knock on wood) and I'm getting back to somewhat of a regular writing schedule. Many thanks for all of the good wishes and encouragement from you die hard readers, and also the kicks in the butt when I need them.
Speaking of die hard fans, high fives to any other Jericho nuts who helped in the campaign to bring our show back! We did it! Have been dying to see the new episodes, and tonight is finally the night! YAY!
Wow, someone is actually reading this bio! So, I guess I had better update it. At one time I had all the "stuff I like" info on here, uh, a long time ago. So, maybe will do some of that again. Is there anything past Phantom? Actually it is hard to find, but yes, there it is! For me my other fandoms are Star Trek, all series but the Original, which I just can't get into no matter how hard I try! So if that makes me a bad trekkie, then so be it. I also enjoy most things nautical especially the Horatio Hornblower series of books and movies, and Master and Commander: Far Side Of The World. I have yet to read the books, but its on my live long to do list, along with visiting Antarctica and someday becoming a space tourist. I also have an inordinate amount of effection for a certain pirate from the Caribbean who looks a heck of a lot like Johnny Depp.
Ok, home stuff. I'm a stay at home mom of two boys/homeschool teacher/wannabe novelist. I have two boys, and two spoiled rotten part-Siamese cats named O.G. and Phantom who both have at least partial masks, are full brothers and act like it. They fight just like their human brothers do! Poor Phantom is mostly white and gets called all sorts of things from "Phanman" to "Crazy furball!" to "Come here, dumb cat!" But is usually called "Phanny." When he goes to the vet I have to pinch myself to remember to call him by his proper name "Phantom" so the vet doesn't think I'm some sort of lunatic POTO phangirl who is confused about her poor cat's actual gender. (Now where would he get an idea like that?) :)
Ok, now the formal apology for taking longer to update than I did when I first began reposting. As mentioned above I'm a homeshool mom, and actually just started a few weeks ago. I have been a schoolteacher before but had been away from the classroom for a year or so and so am just getting back into it. I'm also still getting settled after having a massive remodeling job done on my house.
So, please be patient with me, and for those of you who are worried about the story continuing, yes it will. There is still a lot to tell before 1919 (and also a lot of research). So hang in there, and thanks again for reading the story, and this incredibly long profile!
Well, it has been awhile since I've visited this site, much less written anything for it, but here I am, a little older and hopefully a little wiser since I was last here.
To quote Captain Jack Sparrow, "It's a funny old world, ain't it?" And that has certainly been true for me as I expected my life to go one direction and it has ended up going quite another, which is to say that it brought me right back where I started. And interestingly enough, a large part of where I started two years ago was right here on this site with the story "Secrets Of The Angel," my attempt to fill in the missing years of Erik's life in the ALW Phantom movie. Through all of the ups and downs and false starts of the past two years, two things have remained constant: this story that just wouldn't let me go and the awesome friends I met because I began writing and posting a little story called Secrets Of The Angel.
After posting most of the story and then later changing my mind, re-writing it, and then later getting caught up in other projects, I find myself pulled back again once more to the story, and am urged on by the friends who have stuck by my side through it all and rooted me on. And also given me a kick in the butt when I needed it. (You know who you are, Rappleyea!) This is my special thanks to everyone who has read and enjoyed this story and wished for it to return. (And Rapp, anytime you want to sit together over a dinner of hummus and raw cheddar and toss story ideas around, then stay up way too late drooling over the various incarnations of Erik that we love, just say so and I'll be there in a heartbeat! Uh, or in about ten hours or so!)
Ok, since I've been working on the story all day, this is about all I can think of to say for now!
