My current avatar is not made by me. Floriandra is the creative artist, and I believe you can now actually purchase this print. Her account is found on deviantart.com
Not my cup of tea:
Story that involves yaoi, slash, etc. --I have nothing against people who like their own sex, but don't expect me to go all warm and fuzzy inside.
Authors that use profanity as if there is not a dictionary and there is no other word to describe something; also those who take the Lord's name in vain constantly.
People who prey on the weak and fearful. --I realize that is a phrase from Batman, but, alas I could not find another way to put it.
Authors who cannot take constructive criticism. --You will be criticized a lot in your life, get used to it and learn from it.--
Some of my favorite quotes/poems, etc.:
"Lets act our age, not our IQ." - Oft repeated by my brother
"To the world you are just one person, but to a person, you are the world."
"Men are like toilets, the good ones are taken and the others are full of crap!"
"Never give up, never stop dreaming your dreams."
"Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
"I am here to survive, to live day to day. I create pain to release pain and live in a tormented world of my own making, though I never wished it upon myself. One day, it will all end, and I can at last relinquish the pain and the hiding and all of the sorrow. But I try to go on, and so far, that seems to be the meaning in my life. To continue until I can no longer."
"Live your dreams and inspire someone to live theirs."
"Did I lock the car?"
"Well, if its gone when we get back then we know you didn't."
"The minstrel boy to the war is gone,
in the ranks of death you will find him.
His father's sword he has girded on,
and the wild harp slung behind him.
"Land of song!" cried the warrior bard,
"Though all the world betrays thee-
One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard.
One faithful harp shall praise thee."
The minstrel fell, but the foeman's chain
Could not bring his proud soul under.
The harp he loved ne'er spoke again
For he tore its chords asunder,
And said, "No chain shall sully thee,
Thou soul of love and bravery!
Thy songs were made for the free-
They shall never sound in slavery!"
"As Long As There Are Tests, There Will Be Prayer In Public Schools."
"Sarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them."
"The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music."
"Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege."
"Some people are like slinkies, you can't see what they are good for but you can't help but smile when they tumble down the stairs."
"Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?"
"Do not protect yourself by a fence, but rather by your friends."
"Never explain--your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway."
"The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it."
"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
"I have not failed, I just have found 10,000 ways that won't work."
"The nice thing about being a celebrity is that if you bore people they think it's their fault."
Here are some things you need to know that I will never do in my stories: slash; sexual romance.
I am not someone who can sit down and immediately start typing away and have a chapter finished in no-time flat. So, it may take a while for me to post a chapter and finish a story.
