Legolas is brought home injured, the sole survivor of a patrol mission gone disastrously wrong. Thranduil and the wood-elves healers do all they can to help him heal both physically and mentally, but will it be enough, or will Legolas be forced to seek recovery across the sea?

Being a prince doesn’t make his life any easier as he battles through the emotions; grief, anger, and fear. Luckily he’s able to combat these emotions with something from his early elfling years.

A collection of short stories, mostly about Thranduil and Legolas facing every new day, fight and adventure under the canopy of their beloved forest with more or less grace.

Thranduil joins a patrol under Legolas' leadership, guided by his overprotectiveness of his son. It's a bit of a sore area between the father and son, but will what happens on the patrol serve to save their relationship, or ruin it further? And Will Legolas survive the events? "Bones, why did you really bring me with you?" Jim asked. "I'm in the way, even here in Georgia." Bones was quiet as the porch swing rocked back and forth, the gentle rain lulling Jim to sleep. Galion had warned them that there was no point in sending him to bed, for there are very few elves who are as good at looking after the royal family as he is. Galion was right, there was no point.

After a disastrous incident in the mountains Elrond's past experience allows him to help Thranduil and Legolas cope with the aftermath.

While Stahl and Paul uncover corruption and conspiracy closer to home, Dorian and Maldonado head over the wall to get John back, putting all their lives at risk. It just so happens the crew feels the same way.

When a klingon general attempts to take over the Enterprise, the trio is dragged and tossed forth into a blinding set of events that pull Jim further and further down and is left questioning his crew, his friends, his career, even his own identity as he struggles to get through each hardship and Bones is left to wonder if Jim will ever make it through in one piece. A quick inhalation of a spore on a planet sets off a mild allergic reaction in Kirk. It is McCoy's medication that collapses his lungs and leads to a deadly reaction. Bones' tone was gentle. "You're not fine. Think I don't know how much you're hurting right now? And in case you missed it, that's blood you're coughing up."

I am unaware of how the inferno first latched itself onto our forest, but I do know, however, that the only thing on my mind right now is you. I can only hope that you are safe, but if you are not, Greenleaf, I am certain that this realm will undoubtedly fall to its knees.

"You can't stay on Enterprise, kid. I've got to get you to Earth," McCoy said. No. Jim wasn't going back to Earth. There was nothing for him on Earth. There never had been. Nothing good happened on Earth. He wanted to stay. Kirk picks up an unknown virus on the Narada and is quarantined on Earth while McCoy tries frantically to find a cure.

After clashing with Thranduil, Aragorn leaves Mirkwood in haste forcing an already injured Legolas to go after him. Will they make it back together? Or will Thranduil lose all hope of ever seeing his son alive again…

"I've never failed him before. I brought him back from the dead but I couldn't fix this for him."

Spock's mind was racing. He had seen the words on Jim Kirk's lips, the words silently repeated as unconsciousness claimed him: They were waiting for me. An assault on Kirk leaves the Captain unable to see and with no memory of what happened. As McCoy fights a powerful toxin that is poisoning the Captain, Spock races to discover who attacked his friend, before it happens again.

When a training simulation uncovers something that Cadet Kirk was never meant to remember, it breaks him. McCoy can't sit by and watch Jim crumble. When asked what he's willing to do to get the old Jim back, Leonard has only one answer. "Anything."
