I once was a 26-year-old American woman, a writer, and a musician. With any luck, one day I’ll be Kurt Vonnegut’s age, sipping a sherry on the coast of France with all of his talent and none of his wrinkles. Until I achieve that goal, I enjoy writing SS/HG fan fiction in between original forays into the literary arts. The dynamic between Hermione and Snape intrigues me, so I focus on them in my fanfics.

I had expected to update Volition once a week. What is it they say about the best of intentions? Sadly I lost all the future chapters of the story in a computer crash which delayed me considerably, then the release of the final book just took the wind out of my sails. Then weeks turned to years and suddenly here we all are, 14 years later. This unfinished story has been a thorn in my side too long. Now that I have some time on my hands, I've finished it. I've lost touch with the talented women who beta-read this one so the final chapters I produced were not of the same caliber without her but damn it, they're done.

Volition is done. Even if it is a bit of a chimera, it has one hell of an epilogue. The story didn't want to end, so I let it go where it wanted until it ended.
