I used to exclusively ship mutually exclusive het pairings (with a focus on crack!Foe Yay), but now I don't know if there is a rhyme or reason if I like a pairing or not.
Dislikes original characters. Exceptions include characters that clearly stay in secondary roles and/or are well-developed offspring of favorite pairings and/or were created for series that does not have a ginormous cast list and/or are characters that must have existed in some fashion.
Current favorite pairing(s)/fandom(s)/stories? Clex, even though I think the Smallville fandom is dead? Also, HashiMada, preferably with a happy ending. Angst optional. I'm obsessed with Makkoska's writing in particular, particularly her Small Things 'verse if that ain't obvious. Aeriseph too, thanks to Ardwynna Morrigu. And of course, I'm always on the look out for Hikaru no Go fics that feature Sai, like in Light of a Beautiful Stranger.
Fiction Updates are irregular! Guaranteed. Currently working on the next story/chapter for Something Long Forgotten. Since school is in session, I can only write a little every week. I'll work on and update Hazy Vision once I'm done with Something Long Forgotten. There Was a Lion and a Lamb Here is on hiatus. I need more knowledge on how medicine and hospitals work in order to write my suspense accurately, so I'll just wait for that knowledge to naturally seep in.
Pairings I Support
(Underlined pairings are actively shipped. Question-marked pairings are occasionally shipped. Onesided pairings are written so the first person is in unrequited love.)
Angelic Layer: Oujiro/Misaki, Kotarou/Tamayo
Favorite Crossover Pairings
(In my headcanon, the series not in parentheses are the universes the crossovers are set in. The series in parenthesis are lending characters.)
Final Fantasy XV (with Final Fantasy XIII): Noctis/Lightning
Recommended stories/'verses As in, I think these stories are better than canon.
Avatar: the Last Airbender: emletish's "The Stalking Series". Lead pairing is Zutara. To quote it's TV Tropes page, it's "an Adaptation Expansion fic that acts as a between/behind the episodes look at Avatar: The Last Airbender." Canon-compliant, although with lots of alternative interpretations. Lots of really cool author notes. First chapter of first story here (FFN). Main stories completed, side stories likely dead.
Final Fantasy VII: Ardwynna's marriage!verse. It's an Adaptation Expansion fic that might become a Divergence fic. Lead pairing is Aeriseph. As of right now, first chapter of first story is here (FFN), but she's revamping it. Slowly. Currently uncompleted, but with completed side stories.
Sinnatious's "The Fifth Act" 'verse. Gen fic. To quote it's TV Tropes page, it's a Peggy Sue fic where Cloud "is not placed into his old body but thrown whole back into the past. With the realization that he could prevent a lot of tragedy, he sets off to kill Sephiroth. Being Cloud what he actually planned and what he ends up doing are separate things and ends up saving people anyways." First chapter of first story here (FFN), but lots of side stories found on author's LJ account. Completed.
Naruto: Makkoska's "It's the Small Things" 'verse. A Divergence, happy ending fic where Madara does not leave Konoha and enters into a domestic partnership with Hashirama instead. First chapter of first story here (FFN) or here (AO3). Completed. I fell in love with this 'verse so much, I couldn't let it go.
If your fic is on my favorites list and has been there for a long time, but I haven't written a review for it, that's because while I loved your story, I don't have anything pressing to say. I will warn you that I delete fics I no longer like from my favorites list, but if your fic has been there for more than two years, chances are it'll stay.
Favorite authors are either people I know in real life and/or have written two or more stories that I enjoy.
