Author has written 13 stories for StarTrek: The Original Series, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Hey guys. Welcome to my profile!
Love and War is (finally) coming to a close! Just a couple chapters left before the end. Thanks for sticking with me. I know it's been a long haul. :)
In other news, I'm now on Tumblr under the name what-the-seagull-said. Feel free to find me if you're into that sort of thing. I'm probably too old to be joining Tumblr at this point but why not.
Various stuff about me.
I am a Christian. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a rambunctious cat and a playful kitten. I recently graduated from college with a major in Communications and minors in Creative Writing and Digital Photography, and writing is what I really like to do. Like many people on this site, I'd love to be published someday, or maybe write for a movie or TV show. The behind-the-scenes aspects of movies and TV shows really fascinate me. I'm also interested in photography, especially portraits and candid event photos, and random artistic shots. In high school I was involved in marching band, orchestra, symphonic band, theatre, video production classes, and yearbook, so hopefully that gives you a bit of a description of me. :)
Favorite movies - Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek (original and the remakes), Sherlock Holmes, Stardust, Princess Bride, Secondhand Lions, Finding Nemo, Enchanted... and others
Favorite TV shows - Sherlock, Doctor Who, Once Upon a Time, Castle, NCIS, White Collar, The Middle, Psych, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Gilmore Girls, Star Trek: The Original Series, and others (I watch too much TV)
Favorite books - Inkheart trilogy, Harry Potter, John Grisham's novels, And Then There Were None, Cyrano de Bergerac, Pride and Prejudice, Gone With the Wind... and others
Favorite music - Nickel Creek, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Fall Out Boy, AFI, Panic! at the Disco, Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift (sometimes), Muse, Casting Crowns, The Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Mumford & Sons, Fiction Family... random stuff, really
I really appreciate it when you guys read my stuff... and, like everyone, I love it when you leave me a review, even if you just say you read it. Feel free to tell me what you don't like, or if I'm getting lazy, or leaving something out, too. As self-serving as it sounds, reviews tend to encourage me to keep writing the story... because I know someone out there wants to read it badly enough to tell me so. It's kind of discouraging to see a bunch of hits and no reviews... if it's really that bad, tell me and I'll (try to) fix it! :)
And if you want me to read your stuff, just ask. I don't mind (as long as you don't sound needy or desperate for attention.) But make sure to let me know if you want specific feedback. I don't try to pretend like I know more than I do, and I hate sounding critical (especially over the internet), but if you want feedback from me I'd be happy to give it. Or if you just want me to check out something you've written, then that's great too and I don't mind doing that. :)
Thanks for visiting!
