Good day to you, fellow weary travelers in this plane of existence.
I am CalgaryCowgirl. I was born and raised in the great land of Canada, I am recently graduated from college, and I am working my tail off trying to earn a living in this mixed up world we live in. This life is so insane, it's a wonder this world hasn't just imploded from the frustration of carrying us all on her face.
I write whenever the fancy strikes me. I describe it as my muses coming to enlighten me as to the ideas that bounce around in this big ol' head of mine. I Have poetry muses and and story muses. My poetry muses, while dark in their subject matter, are quite often the kinder of my muses, coming to me and staying with me for longer than most thoughts so that I may record them at my leisure. My stories are the evil ones. They bombard my mind with snippets of scenes from a variety of stories and refuse to let me be until I record them. Problem is if I don't record them quickly, they run off down the many pathways of my mind laughing at me and my frustration.
But such is life is it not? You try your hardest to mimic the vision you have in your mind, but then that vision goes running off into the distance and you can never really get it back. It SUCKS!! So please bear with me. There may be times where it will take a while to pound out a chapter. Please let me figure out things in my own time.
That being said, I am more than happy to accept constructive criticism of my stories. They help me improve and they allow me access into the minds of my audience. However, let me warn you, flame me and I will mock you to the fullest extent that my imagination will allow. I do not appreciate being flamed simply so you can feel good about yourself.
For those of you who are at all interested, in my story The Flip of The Coin, I describe two portraits of Jessie. My profile picture happens to be the first portrait I describe. I painted it while I was in college and I really did begin to hate it for the longest time before I walked away for a weekend. When I came back i found myself completely unable to paint over it. It now lives in my home.
And on that note I will say...
...Goodnight, and Good luck.
And once again...
Ok folks, here is the harsh reality. I have been severely afflicted with the dreaded Writer's Block. It sucks and I am working through it, but it will take time.
In terms of my stories... For FLIP OF THE COIN - I am at this point finished. I may take it upon myself to write an epilogue, but that is unlikely. Unfortunately, due to some changes Hollywood has made with the series I have since lost my interest in CSI:NY. Shocking, I know, but I can only take so many pathetically over-used plot devices before I finally throw up my hands and say no more. Sorry folks, that's the way my brain works.
As for LOYAL and FOUR ROSES - I am sill working on those. I have stalled on Loyal, but hopefully through working out my muses concerning Four Roses, I'll finally be able to return to it. I don't know why my brain works like this, frankly, I think Draco's just being a brat and not leaving me alone until he gets some recognition as a former crush of mine (Yes, I had a mental image of Draco. Yes, I had a crush on it. What can I say, I like the bad boys. ;)
So anyway, please do not fear my intrepid adventurers. I will be rewarding your patience just as soon as I can. I just beg a little more leeway so that I might attempt to rid myself of this horrible affliction known as Writer's Block.
I gotta say... it sucks guys, it really does.
That will be all.
