Somethings that I think would improve

-The ability to place bookmarks, to recall where you are in a story.

-A list, separate from favorites, for stories you intend to read in the future. (This would clear half my F-list)

-More filter options for searching in X-over stories. Like the ability to filter OUT a specific work. So for example you could search For all Star Wars crossovers, and hide all results that are Naruto.

-The ability to use hyperlinks. That would be great.

Things I can't stand in FF's

-Inconsistency-

When your characters can't fight the supernatural whats-its with guns because they won't be effective, yet suddenly when one of the whats-its joins the good guys it suddenly becomes vulnerable to guns.

When the bad guy controls some position of power (Mayor, police chief, etc) and it makes them almost untouchable, yet once the goodies get control of said position it can barley help them at all.

Anything along these lines can easily ruin a good fic, and tends to make me drop them.

-The "just fucking kill them" effect

If your main character is in some situation where you have to come up with long complicated reasons not to kill the enemy, my first thought tends to be... Just fucking kill them. If I run into this more then a few times I'll just drop the fic, by that point the MC's biggest enemy has become their own stupidity

-Massive Plot holes

Why doesn't Gandalf have Frodo jump on a Giant eagle and fly to mount doom.

You can remove Indiana Jones from Raiders of the Lost arc and have the exact same outcome.

Too many in Harry Potter to list

If you have a major plot hole fix it! No you can't just use Veritaserum at every magic trial because people with strong mental defenses can resist the effect...ETC Come up with a good reason to cover your plot holes. Hell even if your reason is the the MC is too dumb to do it the easy way, that's acceptable.

-The "The Big Explaination"

When the MC is either a time traveler or a self insert or anything with possession of a large amount of knowledge about a setting, and they proceed to tell every single one of their allies about how they know all that they do. Just, like WTF no, No, HELL NO. Telling maybe one person OK sure. Anything more than one? Well your character deserves to be betrayed out the ass (by people who aren't complete fucking morons) or at the very least strapped to a table and injected with anit-psychotics (because who the fuck would actually believe that kind of shit)

-Evil Dumbledore

Manipulative, sure. A more grey than light? yeah ok. The so called "Greater Good" Dumbledore? Ok. Fumbledore, has to be well written but sure it can be rather entertaining. Overly pacifist who keeps way too many secrets (aka cannon) sure. But full on dark Dumbledore? I just can't see it. If anyone knows a good fic with an evil Dumbles please share it with me. Every time I read a fic with an evil Dumbledore it is terrible. It comes off more as a Disney bad guy "I am evil and bad because I'm bad and evil".

Relation ships or Characters I just can't stand.

Ron/Hermione - its just wrong. I can see them putting in ten years and being miserable the whole damn time.

Remus/Tonks - I'm not so much against their relation ship as I am just against Remus. Tonks could do so much better. Lupin is an emo sad sack coward. The man just loves to throw himself a pity party.
