Do you know how hard it is to sneak a Camel out under your jacket? It's tricky!
Now... shakes head sadly... just try to stop me! I take great pleasure in writing in the worlds of JRR Tolkien, my greatest achievement probably being a parody of LotR and the Sil called 'Lord of the Coffee'. My greatest enjoyment is derived from original characters cast into Middle-earth, and filling in the 'little holes' that our dear Professor provided in his stories. I have a positive passion for the First Age, and have created a dark elf through which I explore worlds vicariously.
My dabbling has spread into the worlds of Stargate SG-1, Nicodemus Legend, and MacGyver, as Richard Dean Anderson is one of my Muse. David McCallum has also caught my imagination, which is where all the Man From UNCLE stories are coming from. Between MacGyver and Illya... I don't know when I'll be able to get back to my other WIPs!
I am grateful for comments and try to read as much fanfic as I can, but being rather prolific, I have less time for that pleasure than I'd like. I do not enable anonymous reviews anymore--sorry!
I'm incredibly overwhelmed by the interest that 'Not Quite the Lord of the Rings' has garnered within this fanfic community. I'd like to especially thank those persons taking the time to comment and encourage me to continue writing. I know that I'm not updating as often as some would like... grin... but it is, as the Dear Professor once said of his own work, 'a tale that grows with the telling'.
It may (or may not) interest some readers to know that this is not Morlothiel's first literary appearance. Folken interested in tracing her tales could turn to 'The Coat of Earendil' and 'The Oathbourne' for more stories of her adventures, as well as 'DarkElf in the First Age of the Sun' which I am currently posting to ff.net.
On a personal note, I am a woman of 43, I know where my towel is, and I type almost all of my fanfics with a cat curled up in my arms. Hence, the frequent misspells.
