Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter.
My father once explained to me an alternate definition of reading. Our minds are a constant continuation ofthought, a mental sea of ever-moving ideas and memories. A good book is one that is so powerful and so vivid and so compelling that it quiets the mind. It holds the absolute attention of your thoughts. It enraptures you. That, for me, is fantasy. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, King Arthur ... tales of heroes and triumph, magic and love, powerful forces and self-control, choices and character, lives and deaths.
I find struggling heroes to be endearing. As William Penn once said about our Lord Jesus Christ: No pain, no palm; no thorns, no throne; no gall, no glory; no cross, no crown. To suffer so as to save is an act that draws forth respect, for selflessness is a trait that is both rare and precious.
I do not write much as my ideas rarely make it to the page, for my Muses are but brief and often at inconvinient times. Yet, I am an avid reader.
I live for Harry Potter. My favorite stories are those involving Draco Malfoy and those involving Harry/Ginny. I would say I enjoy a realistic Hermione story, but they are so few and far between and I cannot bear to see her mutilated as I connect with her in many ways. Perhaps the best of Harry/Ginny stories is Seeking Ginny, as seen in my favorites. Ginny is an interesting character in that she is hurt but not self-pitying, a remarkable trait. Harry carries through as the individualistic yet adorable boy-turned-man that we all love. Also, it's post-Hogwarts, as are most of my favorites.
I have many loves and not the patience to record them all, but I am a romantic at heart with a flare for the fantastic. I do not read fanfiction any longer, those passions above are no longer indulged I'm afraid. I faced a serious addiction to fanfiction and finally decided that time with family and sleep were much too important so alas, with no self-control I have forsaken reading all fanfiction but one, Seeking Ginny, as described above as well. For now, with what little spare time I have, I am working on my writing. I adore reviews and especially those who praise AND criticize helpfully. So please, do review if you can.
One last thing ... I've just learned how to make banners, so if any of you HP authors have stories on harrypotterfanfiction.com then you are most welcome to ask me to make you a banner. I would try my hardest to do so. For proof of my talent (or lack there of, you decide) see my profile there, same name.
With all this being said, for those of you still reading, I do wish you a safe journey through the world of fanfiction. For you girls especially, beware of adult fanfiction. At this point, it is written pornography. Your minds should be cultivated and treasured, and I'm afraid smut does nothing but degrade your intelligence, so respect J.K. Rowling's wishes if nothing else and keep it clean. I will be attempted to write pieces that promote chastity, a true gift from God but in case I fail to do so, know this. You are beautiful and you are worth waiting for, and if he loves you, he will see that too. Check out the guru to chastity, Jason Evertt and his wife Chrystalina, at pureloveclub.com for more. I promise you, it will change your life.
God Bless, I keep you in my prayers,
