Unknown Just to clarify, I do not have an account on AO3 or Wattpad or any other fanfiction site that I'm aware of (the one on FicWad is not me, and it was created a year before I started here and is all lower case, so I can say for certain that one is not me). If that changes, I will advise. For now, I only post here. After recently finding one of my stories on AO3 posted by someone who used my username, I felt the need to make this clear. Should anyone see my work on another site, please let me know right away and report it. Thank you! About Me: "When I don't write, I feel like shit." Ernest Hemmingway How true this is for me. When I read this quote, it resonated inside of me to my very core. I can't stop writing. If I try to, my fingers ache and my brain hurts. I fidget more, daydream more. I feel like something is going to burst out of me if I don't get my thoughts and ideas on paper. I might not publish some stories, but I have to write. Writing is for me and always has been, ever since the day I could hold a pencil. I found fanfiction in 2016 and realized I finally had a place to put my writing aside from writing a novel. The most important thing I've learned is that as long as I'm happy with what I'm producing and creating, then that's all that matters. The second important thing I've learned is to listen to the characters, they'll tell you what you're supposed to do with them, even if it's not what the readers want to read (advice from a good friend of mine who is currently writing a novel). So...beware some major character deaths every so often. It's not something I do a lot, but the odd time it just fits, and I have to write it. The longer I'm on here, the more I see wonderful stories and beautifully talented authors, and I'm so proud to be able to belong to a community where the passion of writing is shared. This place is where I get 60% of my self-care. It's my escape from all stressful things I endure on a day to day basis, and some days it's a lot of stress. It's where I pour out my emotions when I have no other place to put them. It's where I can be me. Outside of one-shots, I have two styles of stories: one has a movie feel to it where it is faster, not as many chapters/has shorter chapters, and doesn't go too in depth with things, and one has a novel feel to it where it is longer with lots of chapters/longer chapters and more in depth. I do sometimes go back to my stories and find little errors that I somehow missed during editing or realize I didn't catch a plot hole or that something doesn't quite make sense, so I have been known to make some revisions/changes/edits to past stories I've completed. Just so you're aware :) Thank you for reading my stories and for feedback. Thank you for being patient when I don't update for a while. Thank you for being you. For Inspiration: "The most important thing I’ve learned about writing is never write too much at a time… Never pump yourself dry. Leave a little for the next day. The main thing is to know when to stop. Don’t wait till you’ve written yourself out. When you’re still going good and you come to an interesting place and you know what’s going to happen next, that’s the time to stop. Then leave it alone and don’t think about it; let your subconscious mind do the work." Ernest Hemmingway Favorite Quotes: "Grandmothers love to give their stuff to their grandchildren. It makes us feel like we'll still be part of your lives even after we're gone." Betty White (The Proposal) "We all have to die. What's important is what you do before you go." Liam Neeson (Memory) "Life will knock you down more times than you can count...don't knock yourself down." Adam Braverman (Parenthood) "The difference between a breakthrough and a breakdown is a person's perception of it." Dawnelda "No one else's words can define you." Banners "We always look at the mountains ahead of us. We never look back at the mountains behind us, but they're just as big." Marjorie (Mom) "Just because you get help from someone doesn't mean you failed. It just means you're not doing it alone." Messer (Life As We Know It) "Don't ever belittle your accomplishments or achievements. You earned the respect." Owen Granger (NCIS: Los Angeles) "After the game, the King and the Pawn go into the same box." Italian Proverb “Grief never ends…But it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith…it is the price of love.” -author unknown- "Don't you listen to them when they say you're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world." Carrie Underwood "If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be." Maya Angelou "There are 86,400 seconds in a day, and it takes only one second to change everything." This is Us "He's a good person...he wanted me before I was smart." Mckenna Grace (Gifted) "Never tell a soldier he doesn't know the cost of war." Alan Rickman (Eye in the Sky) Current Stories I'm working on: Safe & Edge of Tomorrow (Safer on the Edge) (I'll be honest, I'm looking for a little bit of feedback before I continue this story) Thank you to my readers for their support! Thank you to fellow writers who are there for me when I need them! If you've left a review and it's not showing up, it's probably just the site having a glitch. It happens often enough, but don't worry, the review shows up eventually :) Thank you :) Advisory: Read reviews on my stories at your own risk. Sometimes spoilers of major plot twists/surprises are revealed in them, and if you want to enjoy the mystery I've mapped out, avoid reading them to save it being spoiled for you. But ultimately, it's up to you :) |
