This is a Jim Kirk/Spock slash story. After a bit of a rocky start, Jim and Spock become friends and then fall in love. Of course, they are classically clue-less while this is happening, and Uhura has to help get things moving in the right direction. Indecision made the decision for him. The burn of the lactic acid building up in his tissues was too much and his limbs stopped moving altogether. His denser muscles began pulling him down until he slipped beneath the water.

Anakin is seriously injured during a mission when he tries to save Obi-Wan. With Anakin's life now hanging in the balance, Obi-Wan must deal with his guilt regarding the part he played in Anakin's injuries.

[Set a few months after Star Trek 2009] Jim loses something that he never knew mattered so much. And as his best friend, McCoy is left to watch him spiral into his grief, unsure just how he can help...if he even can.

Jim would've felt uneasy about his crew seeing him so vulnerable if this had happened months ago, but now he was more at home than ever after everything they had been through with Khan and Marcus.

Kirk knows that he's been broken, but it's okay, really, because they're all broken. Together, they're gonna fight the nightmares and hallucinations and fever dreams and, in the end, they'll be alright. A bit of post-Into Darkness angst.

He hoped this would be over soon one way or the other, every time he breathed or twitched the arrow in his side sent new waves of pain radiating throughout his body.

'Nine hours, thirty-one minutes and 3.2579 seconds to our destination, and Kirk was already bordering on twenty-four hours on the command deck.' In carrying out his duties as first officer, Spock finally allows exhaustion to break his barriers of logic, and realizes something he should've known all along. Spirk; insane fluff, because this fandom doesn't have enough of it.
