I'm Evandar, named after the inter dimensional travelling elf in the Katherine Kerr books, which, by the way, I don't even like. I just thought the name was cool...
I've changed my profile so that there is less rambling because it really was getting too long. If you're wondering about anything then feel free to contact me. I look forward to reading and replying to any queries you might have about my writing.
Reviews are very welcome, and any questions will be answered, unless they would give away major plot points. Flames will be left on the site, but not answered to. Other reviewers may ridicule the flamers any time they wish, I don't think they are worth that effort.
I love you all.

IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: SERPENS SERIES
As many of you have noticed, it's been a long time since Serpens Arcanem was updated. This was due to a number of things: a lot of upheaval in my personal life as I graduated university and travelled the world; a lack of inspiration for the story; a budding interest in different aspects of the Harry Potter fandom and a growing love for other fandoms as well. Somewhere down the line, Serpens dropped off my radar.
Now that I'm older, (marginally) wiser, and (hopefully) a better writer, I look back at Serpens and see a relatively decent fic, but one with huge inconsistencies in plot and characterisation. I did a lot of things with Serpens that I now wish I didn't; much like I did with Red Sun Rising back in the day. I'm a different person now to the girl who started that story, and that means that I'm a different writer. At this point in my life, I'm not sure how I could ever go back to Serpens and finish it in a way that would be satisfactory to anyone.
I'm very sorry to have to do this. Serpens was genuinely one of the first stories that I was ever proud of, and the support that it garnered from you has been phenomenal. Thank you so much for all of your reviews over the years, from the 'I love it's, to the concrit, to the suggestions that some of you gave me for the plot. Even though I didn't reply to most, I enjoyed reading every one.
I've had lots of people asking if Serpens is going to be adopted out. The answer is, absolutely and unequivocally, no.
This is not intended to be an insult to anyone's writing, nor is it me clinging desperately to a fic that I'm done with. It's actually because, as a prolific reader of fanfic for well over a decade, I've never been happy with stories that have been continued under other writers. The change in style and tone between writers is something I find incredibly jarring when it occurs within one fic, so it's not something that I'd wish upon readers of something that I've (partially) written. It's one of the reasons I outlined above for abandoning the fic in the first place.
Note: I've been thinking of doing a drabble series for Harry Potter and I'm looking to you guys for prompts. They can be any (preferably slash) pairings, AUs, kinks, cliches, whatever. Crossovers are fine too, so long as I know the fandom - I post for fandoms I know, so that should give you a clue. So if you want a drabble then please PM me. I want to get these prompts and get started as soon as possible, so bring it on!
