![]() Author has written 2 stories for Attack on Titan/進撃の巨人. Heya--Welcome :). A lil' bit about me--I feel like I'm an author at heart, & a student for life, that and my main goal is that I just want to be happy :'). I’ve been reading on this website since ~October of 2016, feels like it's been a while haha. Honestly I think once upon a time it might have been an addiction, now I call it the start of a career ;). You could say I ‘like’ reading fanfiction even. Since starting I have come across some gems that have also inspired my own writing too. My favorites list is public so feel free to look there, I try to keep it as a top 100 of the stories I've read. Some of it is strange knowing younger me. So be warned, it is somewhat outdated haha. I've mainly read Attack on Titan fanfiction, though I've read my fair share of fanfictions from other fandoms too. I like to dip into other fandoms often, even if I'm unfamiliar with the source material as some authors and content are just too good! I've been writing for approximately the same time as I've been reading, I've done plenty of editing in my time as well. My stories as well as others, too many words of content to count :P. I used to freelance edit as I've done plenty of academics and am fairly great at it (I don't know if this carry over to my writing though XD). As a heads up, I don’t get much done unless it's a holiday because I work full-time & also study. So most of my time I'm just daydreaming and writing down or further developing ideas in hopes of one-day carrying out the story. I don't have anything published unfortunately because I prefer fully completing a story before publishing it in chapters overtime, that's why most of what is published is short stories lol. I have documents upon documents of story outlines, not to mention a lot of projects I've started that will be finished some day :). It's a slow process and it took embarrassingly long to get the ball rolling. I have been improving though which is a great relief. I've purchased Scrivener on my laptop that way I can start the Cafe-writing/latte-drinking meta work process! As a disclaimer, I don't subscribe to providing trigger warnings, I don't tend to write that graphically, in my opinion, so it shouldn't be an issue. Another thing is, just because I write something or romanticise something doesn't mean I condone it! A lot of my unpublished works do contain serious subject matter so it's best to use your own judgement, it is just for entertainment purposes after all :). I love comments/reviews and I'm open to considering writing anything you want to suggest or finding a way to integrate ideas into my stories, some of my stories come from bouncing ideas of people and I love the collaborative aspect. Just don't expect me to publish it soon, haha. By the way, feel free to private message me if you have any fanfiction recommendations or just wanna grab my discord username. I'm super social online and love being active in the community. I interact with too many dead fandoms so it's nice to see I'm not the only one lurking on old stories, haha. Story statuses: Somewhere in these eyes, I'm on your side - This is a purposefully short flash fiction I wrote as an experiment, it's a tiny idea that lends itself well to emotive writing so I wanted to try it out as a writing exercise. The work is complete, I could see myself writing a follow-up one-day as I know where it could go but for now it's a stand alone chapter :). The bank setting was actually based on a bank I've visited in real life, not that you can tell because my description of it is bog-standard haha, that and the idea was just a 'what-if' scenario that wouldn't leave me alone. And In Those Eyes I Knew - I have the next chapter 80% complete and I have plans to add another chapter afterwards along with a nice prologue to really flesh out the story and add more context to it. It should be around 25k words when its finished. I am excited to work on it but I also keep writing other things too~. The story itself was pretty fun, I'm really proud of the first chapter especially, I was aiming to make it dark and poetic and I think I succeeded :D. At the moment I'm working on a few other projects before this one which is kind of shooting myself in the foot considering this one is relatively easy to complete and add on to. For now it's on the back burner sadly. Many other ideas are yet to be added... I have 300k words or so of unedited stuff that I work on, they fall into three main novel ideas. I'm at that point where I might just turn them into standalone novels rather than publish them here o.0. I think that would be the end goal for sure because most of what I'm writing is so AU (alternate universe) that it barely hangs onto Attack on Titan at all haha (which is the main fandom I write for). I just really like the characters, easier framework to operate off to execute my ideas, plus it's so easy to write cross-overs with the cast. A few facts about me before I go, if you feel like reading (I always love it when people do these): When I'm not writing, I work as a Mortgage Parabroker. I've finished my Bachelor of Commerce, Finance Major / Scholarship Minor. I'm aiming to get a few industry qualifications and then give the CFA exams a crack. So we'll see how that goes, fingers crossed haha. I feel like I'm going to be a student forever, not good for my income but good for my brain ;-;. My dream is to pursue creative writing, pretty much lol, I just want to get into the habit of writing as a hobby, it's been a really slow start so far but I'm enjoying myself and getting to work on some really great things :). I mainly got into it because I found that reading was a great form of escaping my personal troubles as a teenager so now I want to help others achieve that same catharsis by writing the same type of stories that helped me out so much during my teenage years. Eventually I want to open up my own website and host my stories there :). My favorite reading genres on this website are: Adventure, Angst, Drama, Fantasy, Hurt/Comfort, Romance, and Tragedy. I used to read pretty much only M/M pairings but for the last year I've been reading M/F and have been enjoying it too. M/M will always be a guilty pleasure though I feel. Also slow-burn romance is king, especially if there is some unrequited romance dynamic at play, I'm wanting to try my hand at writing more of that sometime. Other hobbies of mine are: - Going to the gym, power-lifting the big three, stretching, warm-ups, and trying like hell to push my cardio haha. - Computer hardware, I've built and modded a number of computers so far and I love keeping up with new tech releases and benchmarks. - Mechanical keyboards, whether its building or upgrading them I find it to be pretty enjoyable, plus it goes hand-in-hand (pun intended) with writing. - Listening to music, I listen to lots of music, anything that is emotive and with meaning I tend to enjoy. - Editing, drawing digital art, editing music are side dabbles of mine, mainly because a lot of the things I want to see, I feel haven't been created yet. - Sleeping, my second love, and coffee--my third. Have a nice Day/Night my fellow avid Fanfiction reader! We should definitely be friends!(?), I don’t know why you’re reading this lol but thanks for humoring me, I can talk about me (and other things) for ages. Just hopefully not in real life as I'm an introvert :P. |
