This is my first NCIS: LA fanfic, it's an idea I've had almost since the show started and I finally put pen to paper (fingers to keys?). So I was googling fanfic abbreviations, and apparently there's a thing called a Drabble, a fic of exactly 100 words. Interesting challenge I thought. Evidently I've been bitten by the fanfic bug, because that inspired me to write this Callen drabble (set - if you can't guess from reading - at the end of Human Traffic) and yes, it is exactly 100 words.

It's Valentine's Day at the mission, Sam's first one without his wife.

They've been through hell and back and supported each other when one of them was injured. Will this be the one time he can't help her? This initially covered the first few episodes of Season 8, but now covers the entire season.

Before I started writing there were several writers that I read constantly and, honestly, idolized. When I posted my first story Motsie of Atlantis was one of the first to review. He passed away last weekend and my heart has broken. This story is for him. Read it in heaven my friend.
