Author has written 16 stories for Lizzie McGuire.
PROFILE UPDATE: I have created a Live Journal especially as a place where I can go and contemplate all aspects of being a writer. And I'm inviting all of you to visit me there! To all my fellow writers, and even if you are just a reader, I hope you will stop by and maybe leave a thought or two now and then. Hopefully you will see a link here on my profile page, but if not, it's at livejournal.com and my user name is the same as my email: christyleereno. Don't be a stranger! I love the company!
Now for my actual profile:
I didn't like my previous profile, where I described myself as "perhaps even boring." I take that back! I'm not boring! I'm just a down-to-earth kind of gal who is easily amused by simple pleasures. I don't need to be at a party to have fun. I don't need to be at a comedy club to laugh. I just open my eyes and look around my world and get a kick out of everything around me. So sue me if that's "boring"!
I have always had an overactive imagination (which has sometimes gotten my in trouble!). I've been writing stories since I've been ten years old. Can't seem to stop. Writing is my drug.
Big movie fan. Too many favorites to mention, tho I will start with the obvious: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, X-Men, POTC and all kinds of chick flicks, but not really weepy ones, the really funny and cute ones (like Down With Love). I also like some of the old time movies, especially fond of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. Now they were men who knew how to DANCE! In addition, I think you pretty much can't go wrong with Johnny Depp or Hugh Jackman (sigh...)
Also enjoy all kinds of music from classical to pop. Let's put it this way: I don't listen to gansta rap. Eveything else is pretty much a GO.
At the moment I'm really digging Better Than Ezra. Can't stop listening to them! Check out their latest CD, Before the Robots. (plug!plug!)
Right now I'm a little bit obsessed with Lizzie McGuire, especially Gordo, he's my favorite character, so that's what I'll be writing for now, but later it could be something else. Go with the flow!
Favorite Al-Time Quote: "Time is an illusion. Luchtime, doubly so." - Ford Prefect. HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Favorite Quote on the Writing Craft: "Your intuition knows what it wants to write, so get out of the way!" - Ray Bradbury
Favorite Lizzie McGuire Quote: "I'd eat carbs if an Italian boy bought them for me." - Kate Sanders
And most of all, always remember: Wherever you go...there you are...
SORTING OUT THE STORIES
Some of my stories are part of a series that follows Gordo throughtout his high school years, and possibly beyond. Now I am also writing Gordo stories that are not part of that series. So for anyone who is interested, and wants to keep this all straight, here's a little clarification.
MY GORDO SERIES
Here are the stories in my Gordo series, in chronological order as far as the story timeline. The stories that I intend to write but have not yet written are in italics.
Love Finds David Gordon
It All Falls Apart
Travels with Grandma (working title)
Also, other stories (which may or may not be about Gordo) but which are NOT part of the series:
The Perfect Gift
What's Stopping Us Now?
Gordo Gets Lucky
Far Out! (next project)
I have no plans to stop writing at any time in the future, though at this point I don't anticipate writing quite as prolifically as I have in the past! More stories will be added into both of these lists over time.
Hope that helps to clear up any confusion!
