.:Rorouni Kenshin:. - For me, one of the best animes ever created! Great characters, kawaii character designs, and has got humor, action, drama and even history all rolled and beautifully wrapped in this wonderful anime. I loved the fact that the setting was real and that it did happen years before in Japan, although of course, minus our beloved battousai. I loved the action scenes-- simply superb! The only thing that prevented it from being the perfect anime in my opinion is its music. It's okay, I guess, but I suppose what really gets my adrenaline pumping is the opening theme, and RK's openings are, well, different. I got the hang of it, of course, but still, it doesn't even go anywhere near, say, Vision of Escaflowne's or even Gensomaden Saiyuki. Now, I liked several songs within the anime, Starless, and Namida Wa Shitteiru, for example, but still…there's just something missing…But of course, that's won't ever stop me from drooling over *eyes turn to hearts* Aoshi-sama…Kenshin…even Sano…*sigh*
.:The Vision of Escaflowne:. - I had only heard the intro of its opening theme but it was enough for me to place down the remote and forget about it, my eyes glued to the TV screen. (Told you I was a sucker for opening themes! ^_~;;) I've always been in love with the medieval setting, with all those kings and princesses and knights-in-shining-armors…but a fortune-teller? That was enough to keep me watching. One thing in this anime though, I think it's too serious, even with Merle and Hitomi. I'm a bit disappointed with the ending too, although I know that's how it should be if it's gonna be realistic. Oh, and their nose sorta grows on you after a while… o.O
.:Slamdunk:. - One word. Hilarious! At first, I was skeptic. I'm not really fond of basketball and I wondered why on earth would they make this anime? Then I saw Rukawa. And Sendoh. And my Mitsui-kun!! *sigh* What else could I ask for? But seriously. It's really, really good. I've never met an anime that made me laugh as hard as I did with SD. Go, Shohoku! Go, Sendoh-kun! *heart-eyed, jumping up and down* Go, Mitsui-kun!!!!!!!!!!!
.:Gensomaden Saiyuki:. - Hot. Hot. Hot. Their faces seemed a bit, er, unproportioned, but you've gotta admit, they're gorgeous! Especially that corrupt monk, Sanzo! And Hakkai… *sigh* Despite its deep and dark theme, they manage to sneak some humor on the sides which made it a really fun ride. Add the great opening and end themes, and we've got one helluva good anime!
.:Card Captor Sakura:. - Yeah, I am aware that the lead characters are only eleven years old, but what the hey! It's cute! Especially Touya!!! And Yue!!! Heck, even Mr. Kinomoto is cute! I also liked the anime's modern style, what with cellphones and videocams. Plus, they don't always wear the same clothes and hairstyles! (well, at least Tomoyo does her hair more than once! ^_^) I can't believe their school has got so many activities! How I wish my school's got those festivals! T_T;;
Notes: Those are only five of my faves…there's a whole lot more, but of course I'm not gonna state them one by one. :D Well, I'm already in college and I live in a dorm far away from home during weekdays and go home Friday afternoons only to leave again on Sunday mornings. I don't have the same time I used to have a year ago and so gomen nasai if I'm not updating some of my fics regularly. To those who have read and reviewed my fics, a great big arigatou gozaimazu!!!!!! It meant the world to me to see that there are people who do read and like the fics I make usually late at night up to the wee hours in the morning! Thank you guys so very much!!! Thanks also for the constructive criticsm! If you have any comments or suggestions or if you just wanna chat with me, email me please at firstname.lastname@example.org! Once again, arigatou, minna-san!!! ^.^
