JUSTGIVING DONATION for Children In Need
These donations go in memory of Ianto Jones, a fictional character from BBC series Torchwood, who was loved by many people all over the world.
Amount Raised: £15,772.28 (U.S. about $25 604.72)
He might be fictional, but his very existence had a huge impact on our life. He made us laugh, he made us cry. He was one of a very few LGBT characters who weren't a parody or just a tribute to political correctness in mainstream TV. He was simply a well-loved character. And his death left a lot of us as sorrowful and hurt as any death of a person close to us.
Though we, his devoted fans, still hope that he'll come back (it's sci-fi, and in sci-fi, death can be reversed, can't it?), we mourn him. In the series, he died saving the children of Earth; so it seems fitting to honor his memory by helping the Children in Need or Trick or Treat for UNICEF US Branch.
BBC Children in Need help to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
"Two years I am still not forgeting and still wanting Ianto back." - DVCorvis (donator to JUSTGIVING)
Trick or Treat for UNICEF
Over the years, kids like you have raised over $164 million to help children around the world through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF—the original Kids Helping Kids campaign!
‘Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF’ is an education and fundraising initiative that, for over 60 years, has given US children, along with their parents and teachers, the opportunity to learn about their peers worldwide who are truly in need – and to raise money on their behalf.
US children have collected nearly $160 million by going door-to-door with the trademark orange collection boxes on Halloween and by planning fundraisers with their school or group.
Thought it was about time I added a fundraiser from the United States since that's where I live. I know this is an international fundraiser, but the link above is to the US branch.

I believe in imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create. Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere. My imagination makes me human and makes me a fool; it gives me all the world and exiles me from it. You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say 'Why not?"

Finally I have my laptop! Ok so now I can tell you what happened to my home computer. It got hit by (what I call) a virus. I don't think it's truly a virus but it's equally annoying. I couldn't open ANYTHING! Not even Word! It's horrible. But now I have a fully functional computer so expect an update soon =)
I'm truly a horrible person for not updating! I lost my inspiration but got it back due to seeing the Season 4 Trailer!!! So excited! Chapter almost done. Also, I kind of got distracted by MuggleNet Interactive...Probably taking it a little too seriously, but what can I say, I'm a Harry Potter Fan. I've been having classes and I'm trying to keep up, not too mention real life classes will begin soon. Eep!
Hey everyone! I'm working hard on the next chapter, but I've had major tests and quizzes thrown at me. I should be doing my Gen Psych right now cause that's due at 12:00...but I'm giving you guys an update first (not that I believe anyone even reads this thing called a profile o.0). I know it's been a while since I updated. College, what are you going to do? "Anyone ever notice that "studying" is just "student" and "dying" put together?" Pretty much sums up my life at the moment. I've had hardly any sleep this month...anyway, I will get the chapter off to my beta soon so be prepared. =)
