Author has written 27 stories for Forgotten Realms, Valdemar universe, and Yu-Gi-Oh.
This is my formal goodbye. Goodbye. Sorry about whatever isn't finished. It just wasn't in the cards, I guess.
I finally decided to get my lazy self up and put something in the bio. So, here's a bit about me...
What I write: In the Mercedes Lackey fandom, I've only actually attempted one story, and it's FINISHED. I'm not sure if I like it enough to continue writing in the fandom (though I have promised a sequel). For Lord of the Rings I've written a LOT of half-done fics and posted none. They all suck. I probably won't post any of them either. But I still like the fandom! Third fandom is Yu-Gi-Oh! because it's amazing. My Saturdays were worthless for a year and a half because of that show. I haven't posted anything yet besides Seto-centric work in YGO, but hopefully time will rememdy that.
What I read: I read Harry Potter occasionally, if the story's good enough. I got sick of the AU stuff populating it a while ago, but sometimes there's a little gem hidden in the copper scraps. I don't actually read much ML fanstuff, quite frankly because I don't believe that anyone can write as well as she can with her world. (Then why do I do it? I'm a freak of nature. Deal.) LotR hasn't had much of a pull on me for awhile, but I used to be really into reading it. I guess if the storyline is good enough, anything flies. Finally, YGO - I'm against Puppyshipping, but I fully support Prideshipping and Puzzleshipping. In VERY rare cases (ie all other characters are killed), Puppyship is okay, but usually... shiver. Dun like it. Dunno why.
Season 4 Contest: Well, I might not like Puppyship, but in my first installment of this, guess what I had to write? Yeah. Just 23 left to go.
Every Truth A Lie: I made the mistake of falling in love with Mokuba's character. Now, the pesky little brat won't get out of my head. Maybe that's a good thing for this story. Seto's been kidnapped and Mokie has to find him, fighting various ills brought on him by Yuugi-tachi. It feels like a 'coming of age' fic to me. WIP
An Incriminating Collection: Mokie's in a writing class, and he's been getting lots of different assignments to do. All of them focus on Seto in some way, shape or form. Side fic to Closer Than Air. WIP
Time Travelers - The Internee: It's going up slowly, in chunks. I'm going to try to make the chapters longer, but that also means longer waits. I didn't realize until I posted the opening how little I actually have written. I meant to get it all finished first, but life got in the way. So, Kev's out in the open again, this time without supports. WIP
Closer Than Air: Mokuba and Seto are close, and that's something that turns up in all of Mokuba's writings for class. Not a tabloid-ship fic, but rather one about how people are sometimes a little quick to jump to conclusions.
Touching Minds: I was itching to write something with Ryou and Bakura. This is what popped into my head. I don't know how, and frankly I don't care. It's written, and that's an accomplishment in and of itself.
I Am Hope: So, I wrote BWB and decided then that the full story needed to be told. So, this is going back a couple months before that ficlet takes place. Seto and Yami are living together along with Mokuba. It's slightly in the future, so Yuugi and co are all off at college and Mokuba's inordinately lonely. Not really a happy fic, but not a depressingly angsty one either. I try to keep the levity up, even among the seriousness.
Broken Wing Bird: This fic actually arose from the question someone posed of "What would Seto do if Mokuba wanted a younger brother?" The conditions that somehow got imposed on my answer included Yami in the picture as Seto's significant other. Not that any of that actually gets the slightest bit of attention in BWB. Nah, it's just my own half-answer to that.
I'm Coming: Seto's a unstable mind. Unstable minds don't have rational thoughts. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Time Travelers - The Choosing: Intended to be the first 'book' of a three-part trilogy, I'm not sure it'll actually reach the intended length. I'm almost done this one, but I'm not satisfied with the title, firstly, and there are a few empty holes in it that I know readers will want filled, so to save my skin, I'll end up revisiting this with edits...Eventually.
Companions: The very first fic I really posted here that had any sort of life expectancy... Now it's dead and I don't mourn it. I have the whole thing written out by hand somewhere, as well as an entire sequel to it, but I never got enough of a response to encourage me to write everything up. Maybe I was being selfish and expecting too many reviews. Whatever though. This one was supposed to be my pride and joy and I got hung up on specifics. Oh well! Discontinued
First and foremost: finishing Compy's 24 challenge.
I know I want to do more Seto oneshots, because first they're easy to think up, but really hard for me to write out to my satisfaction. I think I need to make myself branch out from just Seto, though. I've tried narrating from Yuugi's POV, but invariably he switched to Yami and then Yami found some reason to be around Kaiba and Seto was telling the story. Again. I swear. If we didn't think alike, it would be scary.
