I wrote the story, I Saw Her Standing There in 2004 which began as a fluke after talking about the Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show 40 years ago, in February. My older sisters were Bealtemaniacs and I remember very clearly, even though I was very young at the time, my sister's Beatle haircuts and paraphernalia regarding the Beatles - and of course, all the wonderful music from their early years. This story is a tribute not only to the Beatles, but to my fond memories of growing up in the 60's.

My obsession with Darcy then led me to think how the song, "I Saw Her Standing There" by the Beatles would make a good P&P fanfic story. I thought it would be appropriate to publish it here in honor of the 40th Anniversary of another Beatles milestone, Monday, August 15th.

I have a great admiration for the Beatles and Jane Austen. This story is an amalgamation of both, I hope you enjoy it and I appreciate your comments.
