Yeah, I seem to be back. RL seems to have reached equilibrium at its new normal and I’m trying to attract the muses again.

As some of you may be aware, my wife had been chronically ill for many years. This left increasingly less time for (and, frankly, diminishing interest in) writing as it became hard to concentrate on events in other worlds when my own ‘Hermione’ was sick and in pain. Of course, hardly a week went by when she didn’t try to convince me to resume my writing. I tried, but to no avail – and I have the cluttered hard drive to prove it.

Finally, shortly after the COVID-19 nonsense gripped our world, she went on to her Next Great Adventure. It wasn’t COVID-19 (they tested her posthumously for it to protect the rest of the family), but her own ongoing illness.
While going through some old backups recently, I ran across all my previous attempts at writing. I then realized that the best way to honor her was to park my a--, erm, butt back behind the keyboard (as she often phrased it) and get back to it. So I will and hereby dedicate all writings to her.

As mentioned, I have many bits and bobs of notes and half-completed crap waiting to be whipped into shape. I’m sending the final chapter of Personal Log to my beta this afternoon and will be cleaning up the more or less complete(ish) clutter to try and get the juices flowing properly before I attack the one everyone seems to want (you know which one it is…).

Again, I apologize for the prolonged absence and want to thank all readers for continuing to read and review all this time. Also, I need to thank my good friend and beta, Vern (aka Herman Tumbleweed), for all his support. As they say, “Insanity loves company.”

I get asked this often enough that I thought I'd make everybody's life easier and put it all here.

Oh No! Not Again!: Herman's muse for this seems to be making a comeback and we've started working on it again. Oh, my poor telephone bill... * Muse abandoned us again.

Let Me Help (working title): Post final battle Harry/Padma story. Re-written (now almost twice as long) and undergoing final edits in preparation for going to beta. * Ending re-written again and nearly complete (again). Hope to have this completed next.

More Than Familiar: Chapter 9 - 41% complete

The Source of Magic: Chapter 5 - started.

Unnamed Harry Potter/Xena: Warrior Princess crossover. Idea struck while binge-watching Xena during the pandemic. I'm thinking 20-30k words, but will probably end up much longer.

Unnamed Voldie-centric story: Early planning stages and several hundred words written.

Unnamed post final battle short story: Harry is hit by a Dark Curse when fighting former Death Eaters trying to continue their master's plans. It's mostly planned out and about 1/3 to 1/2 written.

Unnamed Azkaban!Harry/Azkaban!Hermione story: Mostly planned and started.

Unnamed Harry/Pansy story: Early planning and drafting stage. A few scenes written. And a few more written, too.

Personal Log: Complete

Snorkack and Other Mating Habits in the Wild: Complete
