Checking out my profile, eh? Man, you must be bored. Well, since you're here, I may as well give you something to do with the time you're slowly wasting. So, here's some info about me:
I am currently graduated from a university in my home state of California with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology. I just want to help people in any way I can. At the moment, I am considering jobs in either social work or at a police station. I have also recently become interested in teaching psychology at a high school, or even being a school counselor.
I used to play volleyball; played my whole life. I stopped when I went to college. Then, I studied Tae Kwon Do for a summer, and a couple years later I studied Shinsho until my life got too busy.
If I had to name one major accomplishment of mine from the past year or so, it would be earning my certificate to be a Crisis Intervention Counselor and Advocate for the rape crisis center in the city where I used to go to college. There's not many feelings better than the knowledge that you've helped a survivor of rape or sexual assault be calmed when the memories haunt them in the middle of the night, or to give them hope, kindness and security during the vulnerable procedures of a rape evidence examination at a hospital. It's in those most painful of times where you can truly see God's healing in the lives of the men and women who have been hurt by such acts, and though it hurts that they have had such experiences, they are alive and they are not alone, and such knowledge brings them immense comfort.
Writing, for me, is a hobby. It's something I enjoy doing. Though I do seek to better myself in it, I write mostly because I want to share the story with whoever is willing to hear it. I want to prod and pull at people's emotions and send them on an adventure, even if some of the stories might have a good level of cliche to them. I do not think cliche is boring, personally; though, I do try and avoid it as much as possible when writing. However, I'm fairly new to writing full-length stories, as I have never really had time, so it will be a while before I can write a story that is completely original.

I know a few of you have still been bugging me to continue writing The Start of it All. Don't worry! Now that I'm done with college I have MUCH more free time and I've already started writing the next chapter, (which, I think most of you will be pleased to know, will include an introduction of a character you all know and love!) So thanks for being patient with me for... what? A year and a half? Good Lord, that's much too long to have been kept away from writing. Stupid college. Anyhow, I've also posted the first chapter of my new Venture Brother's fic, Fresh Water. So, if you're a Venture fan, hop on over to the cartoons page and give it a go. I have a lot of fun stuff planned for that story. All in all, this message is to let you guys know I'm back from my unexpected and unnotified hiatus. Provided that life doesn't for one reason or another get super crazy again, I should be able to post new chapters regularly, though perhaps not frequently. :)
