August 22, 2014 (15:24): I just posted the epilogue for Frozen Ever After and I would love for all of you to read it and review. I enjoyed this story and I am sad to see it end. But, every end does lead to a new beginning and this will certainly not be the last time I explore this universe. I am still planning on posting a one-shot collection related to this story, though I don't know when that will happen. I ended up cutting two scenes that I had originally planned to be in this chapter because they didn't quite work with how I eventually ended it. They would have essentially been an epilogue for the epilogue, so I decided to just cut them and perhaps use them in the one-shot collection.
I hope you will all keep your eye out for that and let me know what you think!
And for all of you who review the epilogue, I will personally respond to all of your reviews and comments. If there happens to be any lingering questions that gets asked by more than one reviewer/reader, I will post a Q & A section here that will, hopefully, answer them. So, don't hold back and ask away! I will be anxiously awaiting your comments!
August 8, 2014 (10:55): It's done. I just posted Chapter 15 of Frozen Ever After. It will be the LAST chapter of the story, not including the epilogue that I'll be posting in about two weeks. It's been a long, wonderful journey and I thank all of my readers for sticking with me throughout it all. I hope you will all come back for the final part.
Since that story is more or less complete, I am hoping that I'll finally get a chance to work on some of my other stories, namely Gone and Crossing the Threshold. The next two weeks will be kind of busy for me, especially at work, so I am planning on working on the epilogue as much as possible before I work on the others. But who knows, I may find I miss the other stories so much that I could start working on one of the others before the epilogue is finished. In either case, it's looking good that everything will come out on time and that one of the two above stories will get worked on (with Gonebeing the one that will actually get an update posted). I hope you all bear with me and come back to read some more awesome stories!
August 1, 2014 (17:22): I am hard at work on Chapter 15 of Frozen Ever After and currently, I think I'm about halfway done. I have about two or three scenes to finish up and the chapter will be finished (I think). After that, all that will be left is the epilogue, which I am very excited about. I know basically what I want; I'm just unsure on how much I will actually put into it. There will be a bit of a time jump between Chapter 15 and the epilogue, about a year, so I don't know if I want to cover that time period or how much of it. I think I'll cover just as much as I need to and save the rest for the inevitable one-shot series I'm planning on. I'll have to see when I begin work on that. Until next week, dear readers, I wish you well and hope you continue to read, review, and enjoy this story (particularly Chapter 14; I'm eager for more reviews of that chapter) and all of my other works!
July 24, 2014 (21:53): I just posted Chapter 14 of Frozen Ever After a little earlier than I usually do. It's long, just over 7,500 words and it's a bit different than what I usually write. There are four flashback scenes in it that I actually am quite proud of. I may try to elaborate on them as individual one-shots if I ever post that Frozen one-shot series I've been thinking about. I have ideas for a few if I do end up writing it up so I'll probably use these to supplement the rest. I definitely look forward to hearing your thoughts on those.
For those curious, I am only planning on another chapter and an epilogue before this story is finally finished. I know exactly what I want to focus on for the epilogue; it's just that last chapter that I'm having trouble with. I have a general idea of where I want to head with it, so once I get to work on it, it should be posted up on time in about 2 weeks. With that being said, this story should be finished by the end of August! It will be a bittersweet ending and I hope everyone has enjoyed reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it!
July 22, 2014 (13:30): Chapter 14 of Frozen Ever After is almost finished. I've reached the point where I can either continue the chapter or split it into two. I had originally planned on making it one long chapter with a smaller one and then an epilogue and I'm still thinking of doing that. However if I can't finish it on time, I might end up splitting this one up into two and making a third smaller end chapter with an epilogue. I'll let you all know when I post in a couple of days.
July 17, 2014 (21:45): I finally got back to doing my mid-update posting just to make sure all of you know what's going on with my stories. In regards to Frozen Ever After, the chapter is about halfway done. It's already about 1,700 words and I'm not done yet, so it will likely be a bit long. It will be an important one too and there are some things that will be happening that are will probably be a surprise. If that last chapter shocked you and got you a little mad, I apologize, but that means I did my job and I have no regrets for that. Just remember: I love happy endings.
With Gone, since I am making good progress on the next chapter of Frozen Ever After, I will probably wait until I have either the chapter finished or nearly finished before I continue working on it. I really do like the story and would love to get the next chapter out as soon as possible.
July 11, 2014 (20:30): First things first: I got the newest chapter of Frozen Ever After posted. It is one of the few chapters I had been thinking about since I first started this story and while there is one major event in it that I only decided to use within the last few weeks, it was still very hard to write. I don't know if I've said this before, but dialogue is most definitely not my strong suit, so whenever I have to write a lot of it, especially original dialogue, I have a hard time not only making it sound in character but also making it sound believable. I hope I manage to do it justice.
In regards to Gone, my newest story, I really am planning on writing up and posting up the next chapter soon. I have the entire story planned out, which is something I never do; I just have to write everything up. The next chapter has been worked on but it's not quite complete just yet. I want to work on it some more before I post anything. It might be up as early as next week, so keep your eyes on it.
For all of my Crossing the Threshold fans, I haven't started work yet on the next chapter. But since I did promise you something at the end of summer, I will definitely begin work on it soon. Since Frozen Ever After is almost finished (with only about two or three (estimated) more chapters to go, plus an epilogue) and with Gone being updated whenever I get the opportunity to write with no set post schedule, Crossing will be the next on my list. I really do enjoy that story, but I have lost the passion I once had for it. I hoping that by taking this break from it and working on other things, I will find that passion again. I don't want to leave you guys hanging for months on end about the next update so I will try to post here whenever I update/plan on updating it so you know exactly when to expect the next post. Like you all, I hope it's sooner rather than later.
June 27, 2014 (19:36): Well, I did it. I got the next chapter of Frozen Ever After up. I managed to write up most of it on the plane rides on the way back home and I just had to add a couple of scenes to make it complete. I'm still in vacation mode so I didn't really feel like doing too much on it. I will begin work on the next one as soon as I can. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it finished fairly early.
On a side note, I am planning on posting my new How To Train Your Dragon 2 fic soon, perhaps even as soon as I finish this post. I have a pretty good idea of how I want to structure it and how I want it to proceed (though I may have to see the movie a few more times before I do). It's going to be a different kind of structure than what I've done before, but it should work. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I will enjoy writing it!
June 13, 2014 (22:07 [EDT]): Woohoo! I managed to get Chapter 11 of Frozen Ever After finished and posted while I was on vacation! Go me! It's not exactly what I wanted and I encourage you to read the author's note for more info.
I have also decided to start another new story (though I should probably finish something else first). I just saw How To Train Your Dragon 2 and let's just say I love it and I had an idea pop into my head after watching the movie that wouldn't leave me. I didn't even sleep (seriously I have been up for almost 36 hours straight with only hour or so nap in the middle). I have the first part of the story written up and I'm thinking it's going to be a series of one-shots (probably about 5 or 6, maybe more if I can think of some) around a particular scene in the movie (I don't want to give it away but let's say I heard several members of the audience sniffling during and after that scene) as well as the aftermath that that event has on certain characters in the movie. Right now, the tentative title is Gone and I will probably change that if I can come up with something better. I'll try to do some editing on the first chapter since it seems a little disjointed to me, and I really want to post it a.s.a.p. but since I'll be at my grandparent's house for the next week and I don't want to spend my entire vacation at the computer (though it is my vacation and I should be able to do what I want), it will get posted as soon as I have the chance to edit it and type it up. I hope all of my lovely readers will get the chance to check it out!
I haven't had a whole lot of time to do too much updating (in fact, I'm still trying to get caught up on the fandoms I frequently visit here since I stopped checking/perusing this site for nearly a year). I am caught up on all but two or three fandoms, but those are the biggest categories I have to browse (some of them are the biggest categories on this site). I always say I will update when I get the chance, but life never seems to agree, you know? When life will let me, and when I have the enthusiasm to do so, I will definitely try to keep this as updated as often as possible.
I haven't forgotten any of my stories, even though it may seem like it. I just haven't had the time to devote to them like I would like. I will be updating (hopefully) soon, but with everything going on in my life right now (namely work), as well as everything I would LIKE to do in my free time (namely working on my own original fiction), and everything that I HAVE TO DO in my free time, it is hard for me to find the time/inclination/motivation to do anything here. But everything will get done.
I'm not going to list all of my OTPs for all of the fandoms I frequent (but maybe some day). If you want to know, check out my profile avatar (I made it myself!) which contains all (so far) of the couples for the various fandoms I read/enjoy. I have all of them on there that I'm going to put there but I will add my favorite couples to that picture when I get more fandoms to obsess over (which, believe me, won't take long). If you have questions about any of the characters/pairings in the picture or why I like a particular couple, contact me and I will do my best to explain what is going on.
Aside from what I put in that avatar, there are a couple of minor relationships/pairings from the various fandoms that I support but don't feel real strongly about. That avatar contains only my OTPs but there are several (particularly in the Pokemon franchise) that I enjoy and don't mind reading about or supporting (as long as they doesn't involve any of my OTPs).
As you can see, I really love Star Wars! If you know me and look at my work, then you know it's true. I am also a fan of other sci-fi/fantasy type movies, though I don't frequent those categories on here as much as others. I am particularly fond of Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise in addition to a number of cartoons/animated films (mostly Disney) and a couple of superhero categories (namely the Superman franchise and Thor).
As more movies/television shows/etc. come out, my preferences and interests change (upon recently seeing Frozen, I am now actively following that and shipping Kristoff/Anna); usually I add more and more to my likings and rarely (if ever) take anything away. That's why I currently browse about 20 different fandoms on this site alone. I tend to have an addictive personality and I like to know as much about whatever is currently holding my interest as possible (which is why I'm such a fan of fanfiction). It is also why I refuse to follow certain other fandoms because I have a feeling I will become just as addicted to them as to everything else and I don't want to do that to myself any more than I have to/already do.
When I have the time, I will also beta read any stories any one may have. I will gladly beta any story you want and will (try to) return it very promptly. Just contact me if you need a beta reader. I may have little time in my life to write my own stuff, but I am always up for reviewing/beta reading someone else's projects. I always enjoy seeing what other people are thinking.
While I follow/read a lot of stories, I tend not to review them as much as I probably should. It's not because I don't think they're good (for the most part); it's usually because I have a hard time "making small talk", that is coming up with anything to say other than "Great job! I can't wait to read more!" Stories should have high quality reviews and I just can't seem to come up with anything like that. It's rare that I find something in a story, or a story itself, that I don't like (other than grammar/spelling/punctuation mistakes), so if I read it/follow it, I enjoy it, even if I am not very vocal about it.
Current Story Status:
Right now, my focus is on my newest story Frozen Ever After so everything else will be put on hiatus (sort of) until that one is finished. I will be taking a long break once that one is finished to actually stockpile some chapters so I don't have to keep delaying updates. I'm hoping that will work out to my benefit, but we'll see when/if it happens.
Since I've also started Gone and have no plans for a strict update schedule for that one, don't expect chapters to be posted that often. It will only be ten chapters and they're more like connected one-shots so it won't be that hard to follow if I don't have frequent updates. I don't want it to take too long though, so I will work on chapters when I get the chance/inkling.
[I would like to say that my stories are on hiatus while I am working on Crossing the Threshold and that is more or less true. I will, in all likelihood, NOT update any in-progress stories while I am working on this one (though I may post some one-shots every so often as I come up with them). My sole focus right now is on completing this story as quickly as possible; I would like to finish this story by April 2015 (I know, what a deadline), mostly so I can finish within the 10-year mark and so I can finish it before both Celebration VII (which I am going to. Yay!) and so I can get it done before Episode VII comes out. When this one is complete, I hope to return to the ones that I have put on hiatus and to start a couple more that I have ideas for.]
Destiny and Slave are currently on hiatus. Once I finish Crossing, I hope to get back into these. I'll probably rewrite Slave as I'm not really happy about the direction that story is heading. I'll have to figure out where to go with it exactly, though. Destiny only has about 2 chapters (or a chapter and an epilogue) left and I think that one should be getting completed soon. I did enjoy the premise of these two when I started, but time apart has made me rethink my strategy for both of these, particularly Slave, so that's something to look forward to.
IN REGARDS TO NOT POSTING ANY NEW STORIES, PLEASE READ THE UPDATES SECTION ABOVE. THAT IS GOING TO BE MY FOCUS AND WHEN FINISHED, I WILL GET BACK TO THE OTHERS. I PROMISE.
I also have a few more ideas in mind, mostly one-shots, for different fandoms, which I'll list here so you know what you can expect from me sometime in the future (and so I don't forget these ideas, just in case):
Whispers: A Star Wars one-shot focusing on young Anakin Solo and his connection to his grandfather.
What Lies Beneath: A series of connected Star Wars one-shots focusing on the Skywalker family and it's various members. Will take place in various time periods before, during, and after the movies, including the E.U. Currently have ideas for about ten; may add more as they come to me (and once I finish reading the Legacy series and begin the Fate of the Jedi series).
Untitled Star Wars project #1: An AU one-shot focusing on a point in the lives of Anakin and Padme Skywalker and their twins. Will take part when the twins are approximately 3-4 years old. May or may not be a part of my Crossing the Threshold universe (I have to see where that goes first).
Untitled Crossing the Threshold sequel I know I haven't finished Crossing yet, but I may do a sequel to it. I have ideas for it that I can implement into a story if I decide to do so. I don't want to take forever to finish it like I have the original, so I'll have to think this one over carefully. Comments and reviews would greatly help influence my decision on this.
Untitled Star Wars project #2: Probably a collection of connected one-shots focusing on major events in the lives of the Skywalkers/Solos and just who may be observing. Will span both the movies and EU novels past that (again, probably once I finish both the Legacy series and the Fate of the Jedi series).
Untitled Skyward Sword project: I have an idea (or two or three) for a one-shot, or series of connected one-shots, taking place after the game. I may or may not make it part of a larger story if I get an idea for it. Not too sure where I want to go with it just yet, but the beginnings of an idea are there.
Untitled Frozen Ever After sequel/one-shot series: While I don't think I'll be up to doing a full-on sequel (yet), I have been thinking about doing a series of one-shots for this story. These one-shots will take place between the ending of the movie and the beginning of Frozen Ever After and will probably follow the story as well. I may include a few one-shots that are concurrent with the events of the movie as well. All one-shots will take place in my own Frozen universe. I'm actually really looking forward to the post one-shots and I can't wait until I start working on it. The one-shots likely won't be in chronological order and won't be posted on any set schedule; I'll write them as I think of them and post them whenever they happen to get finished.
I have partially-formed ideas for one-shots/stories for some other fandoms, including Pokemon, but nothing fleshed out enough to really write down. I'd like to branch out and write stories in fandoms outside of Star Wars, so I'll be working on that.
I do have a couple of older projects (well, not all of them are that old) that I may post on here. Most of them are from the fanfiction writing contest(s) that I occasionally take part in (every winter/Christmas). I would like to post them but I haven't decided yet whether to make them all a story collection (like one-shots), to post each as their own individual story,or to do a combination of the two. I'm leaning more towards the first one, but I haven't come to a final decision yet. When I do, I'll be sure to post them here.
As for ongoing projects, it's mostly just creating/uploading covers for all of my stories. I am making all of them myself (using MS Paint, the only creative program I have), so it is taking a while. It is a tedious process, but I am determined for each of my fics to have its own unique cover. I have over half of them completed and I like what I have done so far. I am not an artist (that's my sister's forte), and I can't really draw anything from scratch, which is why I'm using the computer to create the covers. There's a big difference between what my mind pictures and what I am actually able to do/create on my laptop, but it's mostly working out. Now, if someone would like to volunteer their services and design covers for me, that's another story...
As always, I hope you enjoy reading my stories and remember to read and review!
